She looks good in it. Question I still have is: Should Russia place second and USA first, does she face our flag during awards presentations?
If Russia wins, does she face their flag?

Don't all the flags hang together just at different levels?
She is one of the few players I have seen that actually stand correctly when the anthem is played so I would guess she would stand like she always does.
Besides...Austraila will win the gold so it's moot |

I must say, Becky does look good in that Russian tracksuit
And yeah I do believe all the flags are in front of everyone so no one will even know what flag she is looking at. I just hope she does well.
I think the Aussies are going to win the gold this year, hopefully LJ is good to go by game one like she says she will be.
As for Silver and Bronze, I think its up in the air who gets those medals. |
Medal or no medal I just want her to do well and have the experience of her life! I was reading that article about the opening ceremony...WOW....I'm very excited and happy for her and that she has this once in a life time opportunity. |

I don't care how much I love Becky, I can not root for her (or any one else) against the US. WE will win the GOLD, Austraila will win the Silver and that leaves Becky and crew with Bronze..
I can't wait to see these games, I can root for Becky when Russia plays other teams.. |
lol...that's alot of people take on it. One of the local radio stations ESPN has two of the shows hosts in love with her but can't root against the US so they want her to get a silver and the shows producer wants Becky to win gold. They have talked about sponsoring RED DAWN (the producers name is Dawn) viewing partys for the locals. |

So you are rooting against your own country's team for the sake of one player that you like?
Check out this column from today's LA Times, called "Are they mercenaries or just opportunists?" :

Don't know about Baker but that about sums it up for me.
It's not a war it's basket ball which even for the Olympics is pretty insignifcant in larger scheme of things.
Heck even if Becky wasn't playing for Russia and sitting at home I'd probably be rooting for the Aussies...I like their players better. |

Does the Deutschland have a team? If so, I'd be cheering for them too.
Cheering for a team in a game and cheering for them to win it all is different.
The Olympics just isn't what it used to be...
EDIT: So Germany only has men's basketball... no women. Lame. Guess I'll be cheering for Dirk and the Deutschland.

That's very well said DRS. I think it's okay to cheer for Becky. It doesn't mean you're against the U.S.
I am, however, a little afraid for the U.S. chances simply because of Anne Donovan running the show.
