Coach Van Chancellor led the Comets through a spirited workout at Toyota Center and had only one regret.

"I'm really looking forward to the day we can get ( Adrienne) Goodson out here on the floor," he said.

Goodson, a six-year pro, was signed as a free agent. She suffered a slight muscle strain to the area directly above the left knee just before the Comets' scrimmage against the San Antonio Silver Stars on May 1 and has been held out of workouts ever since.

Center Tari Phillips, another free-agent acquisition, has a strained right calf muscle.
