Quote:
Becky Hammon, G, New York Liberty (21.4)

The shortest player to make this list, the 5-6 Hammon had a career year last season in both the rebounding (3.5 rpg) and playmaking (4.4 apg) categories by a wide margin.

Lauren Jackson, F-C, Seattle Storm (28.Cool

The Aussie superstar paced the league in scoring last year (20.5 ppg) and has been among the leaders in that category during her entire four year career.

Swin Cash, F, Detroit Shock (27.1)

Running backs are said to be the crown jewels of fantasy football because of their ability to rack up touchdowns. In three-category fantasy hoops, point-forwards hold that honor, and there is no player in the WNBA whom fits the description more than Swin Cash.

If Swin Cash is the league's 'Running Back', I wonder who's the Tight End? Question

Well, I guess this fantasy game is better than nothing, but the way it is presented, it looks like you will only be dealing with the top players in terms of numbers. No need to do any thinking on whether Kelly Miller can outdo Elaine Powell at the PG position for example... Confused

Also, no real need to look at efficiency... And that will end up leaving out players like Lindsay Whalen and Ruth Riley, who often only put up ~12 pts, but go 5-7 fron the field. Moreover, Steals and Blocks won't be counted, so all-around players like Betty Lennox will likely be played sparingly. Shocked

Is Betty Lennox all-around???
That's more like Catchings and Swoopes. I don't like this format and I'm not gonna play. You go, Reb!

BTW, Becky was a fantasy bust last year. She was a TO machine.

We're going, I've been tinkering around here and there all week, the game is pretty close to being ready, sans all the players and positions, but we'll accumulate those as the preseason unfolds.

I've got a scoreboard up now too....

From the SG position, Betty was, yes. Pts, Rbs, Ast, Stls.....TO's...

I'll probably play, but I'll likely spend hardly any time on it... The picks are generally obvious... I can already see who I'm going to select for Week 1. Confused

Surprisingly, Baranova didn't get a mention. She was very reliable at PF last season, always a good bet whenever LJ wasn't playing.

Lucky for Becky then that TOs aren't counted in this game! Razz

I wonder what kind of article Ballwinner is going to write for this year... Confused There doesn't seem to be much else to say past what Brad Friedman wrote...
