Why can't all the sites have articles like this?

Quote:
The Storm's progress on offense is also limited by the progress of Jackson, who is still working her way back to 100% after off-season ankle surgery. Currently, Jackson is limited to an hour and 15 minutes of court time per practice, without any full-court work. Barring a setback, that limit should be ramped up over the course of training camp. "We put in some offense this morning with her in there, going through it dry, 5-on-0," said Donovan. "She wasn't out there for any of the 5-on-5.

I can answer that question re the FFO.
Because they don't know what they're doing.

The people who do PR and fan relations for the Sun, the Merc, and probably the Lynx and the Shock often seem to know what they're doing in other ways. Either they haven't found a writer like Pelton, or they haven't both found such a writer and decided to pay her what she'd ask, or they haven't realized that it's a good idea to start looking. No idea which it is.

Note that Pelton doesn't just cover the W: he's the unique-content writer for the Sonics side, too:

I think this is it.

Most WNBA teams treat their websites like it is an afterthought. It shouldn't merely be a roster page with fluff interviews and a calendar of events. There needs to be more quality content rather than pretty redesigns (and that goes for the main page too - at least have an editor whip NL and Ann Meyers into shape).
