Yeah come on, dts, "re-sign" next time please - especially when it's a player people are on edge about like Snow Wink

DTS is just trying to get players to resign to make a spot for Dani, who will be the first player to jump from 7th grade to the WNBA in a few years. Do not be fooled by his gamesmanship. Smile

if that's the case, then we should probably start to look for the other shoe to drop.

I remain confused by the signing of core players. How can you core someone you don't have under contract? Or are these extensions? Question oy...

I believe core designation gives you exclusive negotiating rights with the player. No contract has to be signed to receive it.

The player would have to have been under contract in the previous season in order get core status for this one.

Snow did not resign...the Comets exercised their 4th year option on Snow. Snow will be a restricted player in the 2006 season. Smile

I don't see Snow or VJ on the Player Movement Board, so does that mean VJ's on the same boat? Question

If not, I wouldn't be suprised if a sign and trade happened... I know Tangela Smith's re-signing with SAC didn't get any publicity and then she was traded. Idea

Good point.

Tan's re-signing was quiet...and then Bam! a trade!

Where would Snow be good, if not @ Houston? Who has something to offer Houston for her?

Well if Mique's up for sale, I'd get in on the bidding... Idea Swoopes was rumored to be considered for a trade before... Add Snow and some extras and maybe you have a better package than LA.

And even if that trade might make Houston a doughnut team (nothing in the middle, which is a bad idea in the West), I'd make some proposals anyways... That might make LA to up their offer from DeLisha and Dixon to DeLisha and Mabika, which would make LA less strong of an opponent. Idea More Screwball, lol... Razz

I can't see Penny ever giving up Mabika. She refers to Mwadi as "Jordan"

DeLisha and Tamecka for Chamique is actually a really good deal for both teams. Less salary for L.A. and contrary to what some Sparks fans are saying, Mique would do very well with LL
For DC I really think Delisha is a perfect fit. I said a LONG time ago this trade could happen some day.

Snow is off limits. Van said he wouldn't trade her.
