Can UConn take care of the ball? That is the question. I vote, probably not.

Sweet 16; here's where it gets real! I think even the doubters were expecting UConn make it this far. I admit I was worried when Aaliyah Edwards picked up her 4th foul against Baylor, though.

As Tally24 said, the key here is the Ohio State full court press and how the turnover prone Huskies will handle it. Ohio State worries me more than any other team besides South Carolina because of that.

I'll believe Azzi's back when I see her hit some shots early and build off that one great 3rd quarter. I'm encouraged by her 'you ain't seen nothing yet' comment, but I don't think her catch and release is as beautifully perfect as it was before just yet. Maybe it's just me, but I want to see it continue before I get my hopes up, because the Huskies need Azzi if they want to go all the way. Unless Aaliyah Edwards continues to make 90% of her shots, of course.

Aubrey Griffin rules!

I'll predict that Connecticut will handle the trap well enough to win. But I am by no means overconfident.

I find myself in the peculiar position of rooting for Ohio State. 😧😝 It’s kind of a case of who I dislike more.

Yeah! Azzi with the defense, rebound and 3! Everybody is contributing meaningfully out of the gate. Ohio State's barely had the chance to press. Their press has caused one turnover so far, but they instantly gave it back. 10-2.

OSU on a 6-0 run and giving UConn fits defensively.

The Tsarinas of Turnovers are on the court again. Awkward, klutzy Edwards, Fudd and Ducharme. Edwards must have fallen on the floor once a minute in her time on the court, now sitting with two fouls.

All Ohio State had to do to get their trap rolling was make a few baskets. Aaliyah Edwards in foul trouble with two already, and Ducharme looking extremely clumsy. 17-15 UConn; the opening lead is all but gone and the script where Ohio State wins is being followed to the letter.

FWIW, UConn has never come back to win from a double digit deficit in the NCAA tournament

McMahon as a freshman already looking WNBA-ready.

Aside from an inability to hit field goals, free throws, play defense, pass, dribble, or even stand up, the Huskies are clearly rolling to their 12th NC.

I’m in attendance, and as a UConn fan, it’s brutal. How many bounce passes to the middle of the press will get stolen before we try something new? How many more threes than layups will Juhasz shoot despite a huge height advantage? How tentative and uncertain will the offense be? LLS sat on the bench for a bit, laid on her stomach by the bench while the trainer did something, then jogged back to the locker room with a few minutes left in the half.

I don’t want to see anyone get hurt, no matter who I’m rooting for. Hope the best for Lou.

Wow. The first half was the worst-case scenario. The missed free throws underscore how rattled the Huskies are right now. Geno had better have some answers from an Xs and Os standpoint, and also some answers to help the team regain its composure.

C'mon Huskies! Please don't let this be the last game of the season!

LLS has been playing on a gimpy knee and/or ankle for the last half of the season. Ducharme can't take any contact around the neck or head. These issues are more apparent against a fast, aggressive team.
