The silver lining is that she's not doing the UConn game.

I thought Beth Mowins and Debbie Antonelli did a good job with the Maryland vs. Notre Dame game today.

Other than grating my eardrums to a bloody mess…at least they didn’t slobber over SC.

But Ryan and Rebecca doing a Tennessee game? BARF 🤮🤮🤮

I posted without checking--apparently Ryan and Rebecca are doing the UConn game as well. There will be plenty of slobbering.

It’s the same arena, so why change commentators?

Slow start for the Lady Vols, but they picked it up. 18-13 VT end of 1Q.

There are a whole lot slower players on some of these teams. Lauren Ebo is one I’ve noticed. Kitley isn’t a speed demon either.

*sigh* I pretty much expected this. I’ve watched VT this season and am familiar with Brooks-coached teams.

However, I know Kellie is having a serious come to Jesus meeting right now. She’s Pat 21st century model.

Kitley sits down with 3 fouls and Tennessee goes on a 7-0 run.

Did not see the game. How did Tennessee let Mighty Mouse score 29 points?

She’s that good. She gets over, under, around, and through. And shoots 3s.

Yeah, I don’t think her performance is an anomaly.

I don't want to have Lobo and Ruocco on games, but it is nice they were calling the UConn loss.

Virginia Tech better work on their press breaking tomorrow.

Right roundhouse to Soule’s neck/head area, followed by a left punch to Soule’s face.

That surprises me. She's not that kind of player, but that was pretty bad.

I think there must be a divide among age groups with regard to Rebecca/Ryan and how they are perceived. I think they have pretty good chemistry, and I find them to be fine. I’ve gotten a lot of casual fans to tune in during the tournament this year, and they also like the dynamic the two have. I’m not a casual viewer, so I don’t really watch for the play by play or color. It’s also hard to judge because the biases people accuse others of really jump off here. Plus, I’m pretty sure most posters hate every commentator, sideline reporter, studio analyst, etc. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This Virginia Tech team reminds me a lot of the Duke 1999 national runner up team which featured Van Gorp, Pepsi Browne, Nicole Erickson, Rochelle Parent, frosh Georgia Schweitzer, Hillary Howard and that plucky Nicole Erickson. They didn’t have a lot of depth but they were gritty and peaked at the right time. Van Gorp and Kitley esp. as they are both tall posts who primarily played facing basketball and could hit mid range (and in Van Gorls case 3 pt range) shots. Coincidently, their regional victory over Tennesssee ended the collegiate careers of Chamique Holdsclaw and ……..Kelly Jolly.
