I'm going to need a bracket with the quickness, and possibly multiple spreadsheets, bus fare to Philadelphia, and three gallons of Monster.

I'm rooting for

1. Syracuse
2. Seton Hall in that order.

If Seton Hall wins I want it to be on a buzzer beater by Lauren Park Lane. That kid was gutted after he BET loss and she deserves a nice ending to her season.

Michigan State must have passed on the invite for the second year in a row.

Yes.

I’m curious if Suzy Merchant returns to coaching. Or at least coaching in East Lansing.

Thanks - caught that one after I posted. If this is her heart issue again (see 2017 below), I’d think it might be time for a career change. Whatever the issue, it’s too bad that she finally got a decent contract this season.

You are likely to be very conflicted very quickly; as the bracket is currently constructed, the winner of St. Joe's-Seton Hall faces the winner of Kent State-Syracuse.

(The reason I say "likely" is because there is some fluidity in the bracket on a regional basis; I have vague memories of SHU players showing up to scout Fordham because the winner of that game was their bracketed next opponent... and then they faced Columbia)

I'm not sure why you would want a bus ticket to Philadelphia. All 3 of their teams lost on the road in the first game, including games at Fordham and Seton Hall.

The bus ticket to Philadelphia was because a) I went to the tournament games at Villanova and b) if Drexel had beaten Fordham, bought host rights, and played on Sunday, their home gym is a stone's throw from 30th Street Station, which would have made a weekend trip extremely tempting. Since Drexel stumbled at the first conditional, Philly became a day trip.

Columbia beat Harvard today, for the third time in four games this season, to get into the WNIT FF. It was Harvard's victory over Columbia in the semifinals of the Ivy Tournament that kept the Lions out of the NCAAT. Since then, Columbia has been on a "Revenge Tour."

Kansas is also in the WNIT FF.

And Washington.

and the Jayhawks will be hosting my Washington Huskies on Wednesday, after the Huskies knocked off Oregon at home. the D*cks knocked us out of the conference tourney, so we simply returned the favor by knocking them out of this tourney. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Columbia meanwhile awaits the winner of Florida @ Bowling Green. host site for the following Fab 4 game TBD.

Rooting for Florida against BGSU for two reasons:

1) go Leilani Correa!
2) if Florida wins, Columbia will most likely host; if Bowling Green wins, I think BGSU will host

Interesting that the B12 couldn't get anybody into the round of 16, but here they have a team possibly winning the WNIT if they can get by Queenie's Columbians. Kind of an example for both teams for why sometimes it's better to miss out on the NCAAs.

I felt the same way when JMU went to the WNIT 3 times, and the last year they went made the semis, but when I said so on the JMU message board I got scorched. "Oh no, it's gotta be the NCAA or the season is worth nothing." Never mind we got knocked out in the first round. Oh well, at least this time it was Ohio State and they went on to the E8--and they only beat UConn by about the same score they beat JMU by. Some consolation.
