I am hoping this game lives up to its potential because potentially this could be a really good and entertaining game. Looking forward to it.

The in-state interest and the fact that they know each other has resulted in a 11-11 tie after 1 period.
First to 50?

It’s unusual to see Iowa playing effective defense.

28-23 at the half
Not the 3pt/scoring party ESPN would like. A reversion to the mean means we could see a shoot fest the second half.

"Not pretty, but that's gritty."
I hope that's the last time that I ever hear that.

Yep, for Iowa. Not a particularly interesting game for this second half tuner-in.
Monica McNutt. Good-bye, ESPN. |

I actually kind of like Iowa St, but the reality is they've played two real games and lost them both.
They'd better beat Nova and Drake or it's not going to look good for them or the B12 as they head into conference play.

Well, THAT was....a game.
Clark: was it nerves on her home court? Of course, even super-stars have an off night, and she IS a super-star.
Joens: I know she's played better games, in general, but....I'm still not sold on her viability at the next level.
Iowa St. did themselves no favors at the free throw line; other than that, the stat lines weren't as dismal as some of the parts of the game seemed.
Kudos to the Hawks. |
it's crazy to me that a team who shots as well as they do, are such terrible FT shooters.
in fact, pilight, have you got FT% over the past 25 seasons? I could be wrong, but it sure does seem that most teams shoot relatively poorly.
