Interesting note on the game. NC St has never beaten Georgia in 9 attempts. In 6 of those games NC St was ranked. While most of these were played before 2005, the Lady Bulldogs beat the #2 Wolfpack 82-80 in overtime last year.

Such an eye opening stat! Lots of motivation for NC State and it’s going to be a fun 4th quarter.
I’ve watched Saniya Rivers closely in the Iowa and now this game. So happy to see her develop. She could be scary and dominant by the time she’s wrapped up in Raleigh.

I guess it's their style but NCSt sure seems to rush a lot of less than optimal shots, like sometimes they seem to be playing with a ten second shot clock on offense.
But here in the second half, they just seemed to slowly build a lead one point at a time and lead by 10 with a minute to go.
Mimi Collins with 19 pts, 8 rebounds. Not spectacular but solid game.

I have to give credit to NC State - they made the right half time adjustments to win.
"NC State outlasts the Lady Bulldogs 65-54
ATHENS – The No. 8 NC State Wolfpack outlasted the University of Georgia women's basketball team, 65-54, Monday night at Stegeman Coliseum.
Fifth-year guard/forward Audrey Warren led Georgia (8-2) in scoring, setting a season high in points and three-pointers made, with 18 points, four three-pointers and grabbed five boards. Three Lady Bulldogs, Diamond Battles, Brittney Smith and Alisha Lewis, followed Warren's effort with 10 points each. Smith led Georgia in the paint with nine. Lewis contributed four assists.
"I tell our team all the time, we can be so special," Georgia head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson said. "We're also changing different kids from different systems. We're changing them to try to come together and obviously he (NC State Head Coach Wes Moore) has had his system in for such a long time, whereas we're just slowly putting in time with ours. I keep telling them we can be really special. When I went in there I said, 'I'm not mad, but I'm actually disappointed. You just played with one of the top 10 teams in the country. You have to believe what I'm saying to you.'"

Entertaining game. Georgia looked strong throughout the first half, and NC St. looked (mostly) good in their comeback. Audrey Warren had a hot hand, along with Collins.
