On DirecTV I just happen to stumble onto a broadcast of Murray St @ Alabama A&M. It's on GRIO TV, channel 342, which evidently shows broadcasts from HBCUGO Sports network. They are advertising that HBCUGO Sports also has an app and can be seen on Roku, Fire, and other systems as well.

The video and commentary quality are at least the equal of ESPN and better than most of the conference network broadcasts. (Not sure who the announcers are but they're very good)

BTW, Murray is beating Bama A&M 57-36 as the game comes to a close.

GRIO TV isn't in a place on the DirecTV channel guide I usually browse for Sports and I was unfamiliar with HBCUGO. And this game didn't show up in my search for WCBB games. I also don't know how many games they televise. But I thought others might be interested in keeping an eye out here or in trying the app.

If you have ESPN+ you get to see all kinds of schools besides P5s. We keep it to watch JMU but I also watch my adopted favorite, Montana State of the Big Sky, who I fell in love with a couple of years ago because of one player, Kola Bad Bear (how could you not love a team with a player named that?) and keep watching because they're pretty good. You also occasionally see D-II schools and I keep an eye out for some of the VA HBCUs there.

Setting aside philosophical issues one may or may not have with BYU, if your cable system carries BYU-TV, they carry broadcasts of most home BYU games; if nothing else, you can watch to root for the other team.

Sure, you can see all kinds of schools on ESPN+, but not that many people pay for that service.

It's different to actually be on satellite and cable systems.

I don't know if GRIO is on any of the streaming cable-alternative systems like Hulu+ or Sling.
