7-7 after 5 mins of play. Now 14-9 Iowa St with under 2 in Q1. Both teams shooting 33%.

This has the potential to be a wild game. Seems a little frenetic so far, like no one is pausing to take a breath. 11-9, Iowa St leads after 7 minutes.

It looks to me like UNC plays out of control, rushes ( and misses) layups, and doesn't follow their shots or chase down rebounds. They have the illusion of activity but they're being outhustled where it matters by Iowa St.

UNC is 6/26 shooting and is getting killed on the boards 15-26.

Wow. UNC starts shooting lights out and what was once a 17 point deficit has miraculously turned into a 6 point lead for UNC midway through the final quarter.

Amazing turnaround.

UNC started the 4th Q with a 14-0 run.

Future UNC opponents take note - it's never over 'till it's over against this team.

I think at this point you have to find a hammer, a stake, a head of garlic, and a convenient crossroads in order to bury UNC.

I suspect Banghart really ripped into them at the half because they played with an entirely different energy level after the break. Started hustling and playing defense. And they started making shots ( and taking better shots).

Oh, and it was Iowa St that completely lost their poise.

As good a comeback as you're likely to see anytime soon, but UNC looked like two totally different teams in the two halves.

A 26 point turnaround by UNC to turn themselves from Custer into Sitting Bull.

This game had "November" written all over it.

Iowa St. had it going on, while UNC looked like crap. Then, *boom*! Deja Vous (Kelly) ....she did the same think vs. Oregon. Ya gotta hand it to the Tarheels....they never say "die". And that was 2 (away) games in a row. In their last game, I was thinking, "How are they gonna break .500 in the ACC?", but this kinda toughness will get it done.

I can't recall any outstanding defense (except for that one kid's 2 blocks on Soares Razz), but it was obviously disruptive enough to break up the Cyclones' rhythm from the first half.

I still believe Cyclones will have the chops to rule the Big12, if they iron out the wrinkles - we shall see what we shall see. Cool

There was a stretch late inthe 4th quarter, UNC stole the ball from Iowa St. three consecutive times they attempted to inbound the ball.
