Reminder as we look towards setting fantasy lineups for the last time this season... Sad

Our last "week" is extra long, spanning the twelve days from Tuesday, February 21 through Saturday, March 4. The reason for the oddity is that some conferences hold their tournaments earlier/later than others. You may count any *regular* season games in this period for your fantasy team. You may not count conference tournament games as these are considered part of the postseason.

Oh, and don't forget the last week is a double matchup!!! Extra opportunity to move up... or down. With as tight as the standings are at the top and then in the middle/bottom, a lot will hinge on this last week. Choose your starting lineups wisely. Twisted Evil

wahoo, we won 4 categories with multiple terrible games. Actually Coyotes, you realize we would have tied had Jackson not gone 1-5 from the FT line! But I have to admit your team was stellar and you deserved to win.

I absolutely do realize that - I was very much dreading a tie and essentially giving Thardy an easy route to the crown - but as things stand you go into the final week with my team loudly cheering you on to pull the upset over Thardy. I thought it was a tie until I saw those free throw numbers from Jackson. I'm still shocked that your team is capable of losing the blocks category. I'm almost tempted to go back through this season and see how many times each team won a category for fun.

I'm in denial that this is it! Part of me wishes I could play all of my players to close out the season as a special farewell. So the next best thing is to at least give all of them alternate status this week!

In any case, I hope my players can do something magical since I am 0-4 in these dreaded double matchups and that won't do given my very slim lead over Coyotes in the standings.

Week 15

G: Emily Ryan, Iowa State vs. TCU (2/25) -- Alternate at Oklahoma State (2/22)
G: Paige Robinson, Illinois State at Evansville (3/2) -- Alternate vs. Valparaiso (2/25)
F: Aneesah Morrow, DePaul vs. UConn (2/25) -- Alternate at Villanova (2/21)
F: Tirzah Moore, Oral Roberts vs. South Dakota (2/23)
TF: Maggie Bair, Drake vs. Southern Illinois (3/4) -- Alternate at Murray State (2/23)
U: Makira Cook, Illinois at Rutgers (2/26) -- Alternate vs. Nebraska (2/22)
U: Andrea Bailey, Samford at Furman (2/25) -- Alternate at Wofford (2/23)
U: Sidney Cooks, Seton Hall at Butler (2/24)

Alternate #1: Elle Sutphin, Davidson at George Washington (2/22)
Alternate #2: Abbey Hsu, Columbia vs. Cornell (3/4)
Alternate #3: Rachel Kent, IUPUI vs. Robert Morris (2/23)
Alternate #4: Diamond Miller, Maryland vs. Iowa (2/21)
Alternate #5: Temira Poindexter, Tulsa vs. UCF (3/1)

At a brief glance, the championship for the league will come down to four teams with Thardy, Coyotes, Tbinta and loooooooong shot OK State all in contention for the coveted title. With that being said, it looks like Myrtle holds the keys to the crown as Myrtle plays both Tbinta and Thardy this week as they attempt to play spoiler to their championship hopes. Thardy currently has the upper hand as they lead Coyotes by a tie and Tbinta by a loss. Folks everywhere will be eagerly watching to see if Thardy can break their double matchup jinx this week and whether the pack chasing the leader can sneak away with a title. As you can tell - there's a LOT of potential for movement at the top; however, there's good battles elsewhere as Myrtle can sneak up to fourth or fall behind a vastly improved defending champion in undersized post. Elsewhere, Calbearman and Hoopsmom are locked in a battle for eighth as whoever has the better result this week will eke out a higher place in the standings; however, Adam lurks not far behind and a double victory from Adam would see them potentially catapult up the standings.

I want to also call out some incredible performances in the last three weeks.

Week 12: Thardy shot 57.01%
Week 13: Myrtle sunk 15 threes and shot 57.69% from downtown!
Week 12: Hoopsmom grabbed 92 rebounds! This is a record total from the past two seasons!
Week 14: Undersized Post dished out 36 assists.
Week 12: OK State picked Myrtle's pocket 18 times in their matchup.
Week 12: Myrtle took revenge on OK State with 18!! blocks. This was good for third all time.
Week 13: Coyotes went for 206 points - good for second all time behind Undersized Posts' incredible 218 last season.

As long as you are calling out great performances, let me add one from an individual player last week, Jazz Sheldon.

She scored 37 points including 7-13 from 3, 8-8 FT and 5 assists against Minnesota, all while sitting on my bench. And that is why I am sitting in 9th place.
