How the hell is Phoenix supposed to play tonight after today’s news? And how the hell do you call a game after today’s news?

You play for her.

I imagine there will be a moment of reflection and BG will be on everyone's minds.

It's not just the Phoenix Mercury who miss BG and want her home, it's the entire WNBA, USA, and majority of countries. The vast majority of women professional basketball players know each other well and have played with and against each other for years. They hang out together off the courts, regardless of current team rosters.

Sometimes they've played on the same teams overseas, in college, USA basketball and so forth. The vast majority of the WNBA players are good friends and some are even married to one another.

Also, the vast majority of people regardless of race, religion, ethnic group, political party, etc. are in favor of getting BG home, love her and support her. Always beware of the blowhard pied pipers of hate who separate us.

So, it's not just the Mercury who will miss BG tonight in Connecticut, it's the coaches/players from both teams, the fans in attendance, fans and announcers tuning into the game, the reporters, news people and so on. In other words, all of us.

I think the blood streaming from the side of her head might have affected her judgment somewhat.

Lots of missed shots from both teams right now.

Connecticut though has been able to stretch their lead out to 9

The Mercury have had mini melt downs all season - and you can’t convince me it’s not BG related. Yes, there would be a game or two every year where DT/Brit/Skylar would get themselves ejected..but these meltdowns are different. This team is just understandably traumatized.

And the meltdown happened at the end of the second quarter.
Went to todays game.

It sure seems like Skylar’s teammates love her. The body language is obvious.

Also, Skylar made it a point to walk over to Miller
To hug him.

Connecticut is just a team that Phoenix can’t beat. They’re a dark horse, and If they still had Thomas or Hartley - I’d say a real threat to the championship..but I think guard play from Chicago and Vegas will get them (seeing as those two teams can compete inside)

Jones/Thomas aren't the best fit...and Connecticut could use a PG...If Connecticut comes up short again in the postseason:

SDS for J. Jones......or........SDS for AT & Hiedeman

Both trades would make sense.

However, keeping SDS long-term is also an option...Phoenix should offer SDS a long-term contract during the offseason.

I’ve felt that if SDS is really an issue for the team, then she should be traded. But after seeing them, that’s clearly bullshit - so the Mercury should build around her, not trade her.

I didn’t finish my thoughts, it was late. Miller lost his mother yesterday morning, that’s why Skylar went over to hug him.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and condolences to the Miller family.

That's heartbreaking. Curt is one of my favorite coaches in the league.

Wow. That was powerful and well said. Heart breaking really.

Tell me again how Sky isn't a team player and is the cause of all problems of every team she's been on.

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!
