That shot looked like what you would take with the buzzer about to go off. It didn't look like Taurasi wanted to make that. |
She had no where to go so my guess is we wouldn’t even have gotten a shot off at all had she not just launched.

Trying to avoid OT? 40 year old legs not up to it?
Apparently 40 year old legs don't rebound either.

The play-by-play shows Phoenix taking the ball out with 9.6 seconds left and Taurasi as taking that shot with 7.9 seconds left (Ogwumike is shown as getting the rebound at 4.9 left). Seems like enough time for Taurasi to dribble away from or by Cambage or pass to the closest player for a shot.

She caught the ball in the corner with Cambage closing out. She isn’t athletic enough anymore to do much with that.

Very sloppy game. Both teams with 20 turnovers.
Nice win by the Sparks....Nneka played like an All-Star. Very good performance from Liz. 19 pts on only 10 fga. Liz needs more touches/shots. Another good efficient game from L.Brown.....Lexie has been very good on both sides of the ball this season.......At what point is LA going to realize that Canada is not a starting guard?.... Attitude or not, C.Carter should be starting.
Tough loss for Phoenix.....Good game by SDS despite the turnovers. The Mercury got good contributions from Peddy, Sophie, and Gray. Another poor shooting game from DT. Diamond was a non-factor. DD needs to be better on offense and stop committing so many unforced errors...Coach Nygard needs to improve her play calls...Drawing up a play for DT when she shot the ball poorly was just asinine.......Prediction: SDS will be a LA Spark by trade or she will sign with the Sparks after her contract is up with Phoenix.
Chiney -17 in 17 minutes
DeShields -27 in 17 minutes
Yikes...

You have to do, what you have to do. There is no shame in dumping on the teams at the bottom.

The Twitter Queen in Tinsel Town? Well, her partner in crime, Candice Wiggins, was here for a while; so it could happen. Skylar was friends with the Ogwumikes from her collegiate days too.
