Is Chennedy Carter transitioning into a team player before our very eyes? Nneka and Big Mama let's Chennedy know, "Feed us the rock in the paint, and you will remain a starter for this team!"

Carleton is having herself a game. Better ride it, Reeve.

Powers learned from DT - just fling yourself into the defender and get rewarded. I hate that call.

The Sparks almost let the Lynx come back and win Shocked

I"ll give her props, Carter forced McBride into a tough shot at the end. I'm guessing the Lynx was outta timeouts.

Chennedy Carter is the best player from the 2020 draft and it's not close. I'm sad the Dream had to let her go.

I hope you’re not talking about that play where Chiney got the flagrant foul. Hitting a player in the face with your off arm is not a basketball move.

Can’t get hurt or get covid in this league if you’ve got a good backup.

Russell might not get her job back from Magbegor who might not get her job back from Lavender. Okay, that last one is going to require more than one good game.

I would have said nobody will get their job back from Shepard, but she seems to have peaked very early and has been sliding ever since. Can’t be afraid to shoot the ball if you’ve got a shot.

Coming outta college, most would've called you crazy for making that statement. The triple double queen was being hailed as the next big thing.

Isn't that what we call 'depth?' They're all going to play when healthy. The schedule is tough, you need to manage the workload.

It's not too hard to see why Carter's increased minutes would come at Canada's expense, though.

Yes they did the ceremony with about 30 minutes left during warmup. It was really well done.

Gotcha! Yeah, I'm so glad that they showed at least some of it during half time. Happy Memorial Day, Everyone!

I thought they were close even then and felt the Dream got a steal when Carter fell to #4.

Pilight has occasionally pointed out recency bias in other people, but somehow doesn’t recognize it in himself.

It's a toss up between Satou and Chennedy for me.

Ionescu is third.

After that there's a group of decent bench players / role players but difficult to rank them because so much comes down to chance. Who has stayed healthy, who has been with an organization that's given them playing time, etc.

Not even close! Ionescu wins hands down. There's more to basketball than just athletic ability and ability to score lots of points periodically. Hollywood wins fan attention, Ionescu wins championships.

Carter was the best athlete in the Draft and offensively is very hard to guard, but was a selfish gunner and out of control for the most part, didn't pass the ball much or get her teammates involved, didn't get along with teammates ( and last year was removed from Atlanta Dream because of it), never was she a competent leader. Carter couldn't lead a sheep to pasture. She's got a long way to go to change. Some can do it but most don't stay that way long in reverting to what they were used to.

Ionescu was and is a basketball player, leader, scorer, rebounder, passer, defender and great teammate. She gets her teammates involved and can do all things well thats's needed to win. And, unlike Carter, she has a head on her shoulders. Ionescu wins hands down every time.
