The Mystics once again will be shorthanded for this game against the Chicago Sky. I could be wrong but it's going to take a miracle for the Mystics to stay with the Sky.

Per Kareem Copeland Washington Post:

Alysha Clark (foot) will be out tomorrow vs the Sky. It’s a scheduled day off. Elena Delle Donne will be back after her scheduled day off last game. Also, Myisha Hines-Allen is no longer listed on the injury report with that quad contusion.

Is "scheduled days off" a program Washington is running for all of their starters, or just EDD? I may have missed this.

EDD has scheduled days off for “load management”. Apparently this is also extending to Clark.

Chicago should do the same load management with Parker/Sloot.

Parker I understand, but what's up with Sloot?

Age/Wear & Tear

Players who play all year round for many years will at some point need load management.

I agree with CP. Her legs aren't there with 1-2 days off between games anymore.
...

I'm thinking about watching this game with the sound down. The broadcast teams have been annoying me this season for some reason.... Laughing

Chicago needs to slow down when they are in the half court. They act like the shot clock is at 5 on every possession.

I don't like Stevens coming off the bench. She is better post defender than Emma, and better than Candace by a mile considering she doesn't even bother going down there. Rolling Eyes

Mystics looking GOOD early! Burke gets the start with Clark resting this game. Mike T has built a nice and versatile team that can withstand key players missing games. Myisha Hines-Allen did not start. She was clearly not 100% in the last game with lingering hamstring contusion.

At first time out, some subs are made but Shakira stays in the game. Clearly free agent EWill is the backup center on this team. MHA gives EDD a breather.

Interesting take. For me, LaChina/Ryan one of the best teams out there.

Announcers boosted Shakira Austin up to 6'6" (with 6'7" wingspan).

I was talking more about Ryan/Lobo

They have a tendency to go overboard with Bird/Taurasi and not give other players ass much love...Bird has been retiring for the last 3 or 4 years...I understand acknowledging our greats before they retire, but the whole Bird might retire talk has run it's course.....SDS is arguably the best PG in the league and all Ryan/Lobo did during the lead-up to the Merc/Storm game do was talk about Bird/Taurasi.

MHA has disappeared in the last few games.
