The lack of balance in the scheduling is ridiculous.

Mercury playing the Aces all three times in the first six games. How does that help either team? If the Mercury are healthy for the playoffs the Aces will have not seen that Mercury squad all season.

If SDS is going to be out for an extended period of time. It would be smart to cut some dead weight and sign 1 or 2 players that can contribute off the bench.

Possible signings:

Point guard:

Lindsey Allen
C.Dangerfirled
L.Clarendon (Could start-Bring Peddy off the bench)

Instant offense:

Alex Bentley

Big Center:
Kalani Brown
Imani McGee Stafford

Expecting a 20 pt Vegas victory today...I hope I'm wrong

I like Dangerfield and think she would fit well. No to Bentley. Not sure either of the bigs do anything for us.

Yeah, not overly high on the bigs...but KB/IMS lost weight and had great training camps. So giving them a look wouldn't hurt...Also, Phoenix plays Minny/LA 8 times.

Kalani Brown had a great training camp? Where? She was waived by Las Vegas on April 18th: https://aces.wnba.com/news/aces-waive-center-kalani-brown/

KB got hurt...Not sure if she's healthy enough to play at the moment...But the Mercury should do their due diligence.

Quote:
The Aces on Monday waived center Kalani Brown after the 6-foot-7-inch rim protector tore her left meniscus, according to a source close to the player. She could miss anywhere between a month or the whole season depending on the severity of the injury.

The Aces waived two more players Tuesday. Forward Faustine Aifuwa, Las Vegas’ 2022 third-round pick, and guard Deja Winters, an undrafted free agent who spent her senior season with Minnesota, were both released as the roster continues to thin down in the first few days of training camp.

An NCAA champion with Baylor and the No. 7 overall pick during the 2019 WNBA draft, Brown’s professional career has been derailed by injuries before. After spending her rookie season with the Los Angeles Sparks, she was traded to the Atlanta Dream ahead of the 2020 season. Another knee injury limited Brown to 10 games, and she was waived early in 2021.

A strong season abroad in Turkey, coupled with an impressive performance at the Las Vegas-based Athletes Unlimited League during the offseason, earned Brown her opportunity with the Aces.

While she won’t suit up for the team anytime soon, Aces general manager Natalie Williams didn’t rule out the bringing the Baylor alum in later in the season if the Aces felt they needed her.

If KB/IMS are putting in the time and effort to get their careers back on track, I think it's worth giving them a look. Especially with Griner being detained in Russia.

This should be an easy Aces win. Any update on Baybay's foot? They (Aces) are looking good, but sorely need depth.

I am a tad bit confused at the Phoenix offense. Have been since Game 1 of the season.

According to Nygaard, Skylar is ill. However, conversations will be had after she returns. I thought someone said there was an apology video.

In all fairness to the coach...

* The offense was probably supposed to go through Griner
* Diamond/Turner arrived after the season started.

Considering the circumstances, I don't have any judgment on the coach. I'll see how she handles the Skylar/Diana issue and see where they end up in the standings.

She got two wins against Seattle (I know Stewie was out) and the team was very much winning the 2nd game against Vegas. The team is competing so I think she's doing well so far.

Diamond and Tina have got to stop forcing jumpers when defenders are all over them. We are so much better when the ball is moving.

Other than the crappy shot selection in the 2nd, we’ve been pretty sharp.

Chelsea really lost it considering they’ve gotten every whistle tonight.

Laughing Yeah, Young having more free throws than the Merc is something.
