This is a heck of a match-up.

Both #1 Stanford and #1 NC State have hot opponents in this Sweet 16 round.

Gotta go with the Cardinal on this one. Cool Looking forward to the Brink-Reese matchup.

Not really convinced that beating the 12 and 13th seeded mid majors necessarily means one is "hot".

Of all 8 games in the round of 16, to me this seems the very least likely to produce an upset.

Of course I've been completely wrong on such predictions before. . .

Usually I'm looking for competitive games. But here, I would like to see a total blowout and see all 14 of Stanford's active players.

Totally off topic I know, but you all might want to tune in to CBS for a couple minutes. St Peters leads Purdue 63-59 with 26 seconds to go.

No 15th seed has ever made the Elite 8 in the men's tournament.

Edit - And St Peters wins and heads to the Elite 8.

The Internet was trying to claim that today was National Peacock Day. One of those websites that aggregates random holidays debunked it, but there *was* one that ties back to this thread...

It's Maryland Day.

Shooting 28% will get Maryland sent home...especially with Stanford shooting 59%.

They're not allowing her to run people over.

yeah, I've complained about that all year, so happy they're actually calling it...especially in this one. Laughing Actually they haven't called the O-fouls on her, but they also haven't called the defensive fouls when she runs over somebody.

With an endless army of sledgehammers, scalpels and William Tells, I don't see Stanford losing the NC unless they have a complete cold collapse by much of their team for much of a game.

I think Haley Jones' hair acts as ballast. If someone wants to beat the trees, they should sneak in and cut off her hair.

Well, that depends on who you were rooting for. The Terps were 6 points away from making the game really interesting.

There's always next year, Maryland.
