This....IS the same KY team that beat SC....right??

Princeton is really sharp. Interesting game, for the most part. Meyers is a dynamo.

HURRAH! for Princeton (even though you are not Columbia or Harvard). Much smarter defense and offense than Kentucky.

Only modestly impressed by Howard, and not impressed much by any of the SEC teams so far, SCar excluded.

The SEC looks highly overrated so far

KY looks like a perfect example of a team that takes on the looks and attitude of its coach. Elzy's actions, gestures and body language the 2nd half looked negative and complaining. She exhibited a lack of composure. And her team looked the same -- negative and undisciplined.

I think Princeton was underseeded. Undefeated in 2022.

How did SCar lose 2 games in the SEC this season?

Because it's HARD to win games in a real conference.

Inconsistent offense, especially when their guards go into droughts.

Better teams can take advantage of a team shooting 35%

Kentucky has been inconsistent all season. But the SEC is tough. They were tournament champions, not regular season.

As opposed to a half conference like the ACC where you have at most a half dozen decent teams and then the rest of the bunch who never get anywhere?

So after SCar and LSU, who are these SEC powerhouses? Champion Kentucky? Rolling Eyes

This week I learned that Saint Pete's is a little Jesuit school in Jersey City. I learned that Jersey City is a couple miles west of NYC. A bad week for Kentucky. March Madness and Cinderellas in full swing! Chen and Meyer play ball like its supposed to be played. Expected Howard to take over down the stretch. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed Round One this much. LSU nearly stumbles and then Belmont!

I realize you get your jollies out of ignoring or slanging Tennessee, but I am not getting in a mudwrestling match with you. I thought you had become a little more mellow on your return, but I see you're the same Art.

The Tenn that went 5-7 their last 12 games? Are we supposed to be impressed?

And you were the one trying to trash the ACC - you know, the conference with two #1 seeds.

One of whom lost to an SEC team during the regular season and the other who lost in their conference tournament to a team that lost in the first round. So let’s not get too superior. (And NC State will definitely be in the E8, possibly the Final 4.)

Don't know who you're talking about. Only #1 seed I know of who did that was South Carolina.

BTW, both the ACC and SEC had 8 tourney teams. After the first round, ACC still has 5, while the SEC has lost half of theirs and is down to 4 (and they're very lucky Jackson St folded and gave the game to LSU or it would be 3).

Check yourself. You’re not the ACC fan you think you are if you don’t know that Louisville lost in the conference tournament to Miami.
Also, the fact that I don’t like Kim doesn’t mean I don’t think she did a hell of a job with what she had, in spite of losing her best player.
Now, go ahead and have the last word. You know you’re dying to.

Before you make a bigger fool of yourself maybe you should check the tournament results. I know Louisville lost to Miami, but Miami hasn't lost. They beat USF. The only #1 seed that pulled the stunt you cited is South Carolina

Just wanted to say I'm glad Princeton won- they play basketball.

On the other hand, I really despise (not personally, of course, just in terms of the game), teams like Kentucky and players like Howard, who may have physical talent but are clueless about the game, teamwork, hustle. The coach has to bear the brunt of the blame, imo, but Howard has issues.

I have said for a few years here that Howard is a disappointing talent and I would never use a lottery pick to select her in the W.
