All tied up at 50 with less than two to go. What?

too bad Buffalo didn't win. We could have had a 12 v 13 to go to the regional.

Really? That was the best play Belmont's coach could come up with?

I can't even figure out what they expected to happen or how they expected to get a reasonable shot.

Belmont needed to win in regulation. They won't do it in OT.

Heroic 3pt shot by PaoPao to tie game for OT, but also bad defense by Belmont. They should have been glued to the 3pt line and willing to give up a 2. They completely lost PaoPao.

Then, a really crappy last play and execution by Belmont.

Uh, Glenn, please pay attention to what game you’re watching. That was Paopao and this is Oregon-Belmont.

Never mind, I see you corrected it. You must have too many screens up Wink

If Oregon has 10 fans there, they haven't shown them.

PaoPao is such a great name for a bball player. But she forgot here that she's not the #1

The shot clock shouldn't have been off. That should have been a 20-second reset for Oregon.

WOW! Another great upset, well deserved, despite a gigantic height advantage for Oregon and a career game from Sabally.

Ahhhh, yes. Maddening March. Razz

Credit Belmont: they played with such heart and guts, under all the pressure. Bart Brooks has done fantastic things with them in his short time there.

And again, Oregon JUST. DOESN'T. HAVE. LEADERSHIP. ON. THE. FLOOR. You can have all the talent on your team, but if you don't orchestrate and coordinate, you'll look like...well, like Oregon did. Certainly, Belmont's disruption was key, but somebody's gotta (wo)man up and grab her fellow ducks by the neck....I still remember Sabrina's way with that. Cool

The stat lines were as close as the score played out, tho OR had a bunch more rebounds, and Belmont had a lot more 3s. To me, the biggest difference was that intangible thing where you GOTTA WANT IT MORE!

I hope TN is ready for them, cuz The Bruins are well-prepared.

(PS....I hope Nyarra changes her mind about declaring; forget about her 31 points tonight. I just think she's not ready for prime time yet. Or. I just want her around longer. Prince oughtta go the 7 year route.)

Ore-gone! I thought too that after Pao Pao made that 3 and Belmont chose to not foul as they had a foul or two to give with 14 seconds left in regulation, it would be the end for Belmont but..... No, they just kept coming! Kudos!

Interview postgame with Graves, Sabally and Paopao

Very Happy

Besides Prince & Sabally, I wonder if everyone else on Oregon's roster comes back. So much pure talent up & down the whole roster, but only so many minutes. There also seems to be chemistry issues within the main rotation groupings, as well as more than a few players simply underachieving despite their own talent & the talent around them. With yet another elite recruiting class coming in next season, I would not be surprised to see some Duck defections in the coming weeks.

Oregon's #1 recruiting class from a few years back just has not delivered.

Maddie Scherr played 40 minutes and had 3 points with 1-6 shooting.
Sydney Parrish started but only played 13 minutes, had 0 points with 0-4 shooting
Kylee Watson played 15 points, 0 points
Tehina paopao did have the three pointer to force overtime but as the point guard she had 5 turnovers and only 2 assists.

don't think this is going to be anything close to the Sabrina and Ruthy class that took Oregon to new heights and there was a hope that signing the #1 class after Sabrina left would take them to the next level. Dugalic the one who transferred, even comes off the bench for a UCLA team that is playing in the NIT.

Well, when your coach calls you out...

[quote]"I think at times our players have acted and performed entitled," Graves said. "I mean, we have had a nice run. We made it at least to the Sweet 16 every year since 2017. First first-round exit in a long time. This group hasn't won anything. We haven't won a Pac-12 championship. We haven't won in the NCAA tournament, with great depth."[/qoute]
