It's between her and Siegrist. Morrow had all those double-doubles, but Siegrist played on the better team and averaged more ppg.

Personally, I think Christyn Williams should be getting more love. UCONN was decimated by injuries, as we know, and she was instrumental in us winning the conference regular season title. She averaged 16.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.5apg. She shot 50% from the field, 42% from 3, was our best perimeter defender and played the most minutes on a team that didn't know from one practice to the next who she'd be on the floor with for two straight months.

She won't win it because the other two players have gaudy numbers, but I think she deserves a little big of praise.

I predict her, Azzi, and ONO will be first team All-BE and Caroline and Dorka will be second.

Congratulations to Hannah and her teammates. I hope they have a deep run at the Big Dance! Cool

I really want to see vote totals for POY to see how close it was between Siegrist and Morrow.

Yes I'd really like to know this also.

And glad to see Morrow was a unanimous pick for FOY - I really would have questioned that had she not been.

What's up with 10 people on the first team? That seems a bit much.

They've always done it like this. It's strange. They directly compete with the men. I'm not complaining about it though, I'm excited to watch it.

X____

After last week’s smorgasbord of games it is nice to wind down with one tournament to follow.

I think the initial thought behind it was their teams would be fresh on the committees mind as seeding was done.

When both tournaments were in OKC, the men's games were right across the street from the women's games and ran simultaneously. It was a fun atmosphere and both tournaments were successful. It was especially fun if you liked to attend both the men's and women's games. The games were in Dallas a few times, but I don't think they were supported as well there.

But apparently, KC complained loud enough or greased enough palms to get the games moved back to KC permanently instead of rotating the locations between KC, OKC and Dallas.

I feel like it's better this way in some ways as you are less rusty heading into the postseason. It feels like there are some pretty long layoffs for a lot of teams with how early most women's tournaments are.

Conversely, if you get a player or 2 banged up in your tourney, you at least get a week to rest 'n prep. Wink
