Howee, you are consistently sticking to PAC-12, B1G and other Midwest and Western schools. Give us Easterners some love, eh?

Well, now....FGCU, St. John, Campbell, Buffalo. etc....there've been a few appearances of Eastern Middies, but yes. MOST games are coming from the P5s, primarily cuz I'm looking for games where I have some knowledge of the teams, to decide if this game or that game could be a close one.
Now, HERE'S your big opportunity, stb....YOU can make a slate of whatever teams you like, and I'll gladly pick away.

Okay *rises to challenge* I will do next week. Let the chips, and the faint of heart, fall where they may!

Okay, I promised y'all something different. Having accused Howee of not showing us easterners enough love, I shall endeavor to do so this week. However, just to make things more fun, I decided to make this week about battles for the basement...mostly, anyway. There are a few that are not. Some are for the honor of a spot in the middle, one is for bragging rights to the city. And one is for something else if your brain is hurting. Have fun!
Friday, 2/25
Georgetown @ Xavier
Villanova @ Butler
Saturday, 2/26
George Mason @ St Bonaventure
Richmond @ VCU (for the key to the city!)
Sunday, 2/27
Rutgers @ Illinois
Vanderbilt @ Alabama
Minnesota @ Penn State
Monday, 2/28
Baylor @ Iowa State
Bonus: Guess the lowest scoring game, within 5 points of the winning score (either way)--5 points
Please have your guesstimates in by Thursday midnight PST.

Nobody is playing? Did I make it too hard? Or are you just boycotting me?

I didn't even submit guesses in my own poll. I guess I can break my own rules though since the games have yet to start.

Awwwrighty, m'friends. As we await the lastest results from summertime blues' challenge, we can start pondering our final selections.
It's March. And as we are on the cusp of Mucho Madness, we end our Tipping Game with one final contest.
Below you will find 8 Conference Tournaments that end on March 6th. Your predictions should consist of 2 parts - Name the winning team, AND the point spread in the championship game. Correctly naming the tourney winner earns you 1 point, unless it's someone other than the #1 seed: an alternate correct choice earns you 5pts. The point spread part is unrelated to the team that wins. It's about the differential between the winning and losing score. Pick that number within 5 pts, and earn 10 pts.
Example:
Big 12:
Possible outcome 1: I choose Baylor by 7pts
Baylor beats Iowa St by 80-75. I've earned 11 pts, 1 for the correct team, and ten for being within 5 pts of the point spread.
Possible outcome 2: I pick Oklahoma by 8 pts.
Oklahoma beats Baylor, 69-68. I get 5 pts for picking the (Non #1 seed) winner, but nothing on The Final Score pts, cuz the point spread was only 1, and I wasn't within 5 of that.
Possible outcome 3: I pick Iowa St by 9 pts.
Kansas St. beats TCU in the final, 85-80. I get no points for team selection, BUT I still get 10 pts cuz my points spread was within 5 of the final score.
....and so forth.
Here are the Conference Tourney's I've chosen. HAVE YOUR PREDICTIONS SUBMITTED BY MIDNIGHT, THURSDAY, MARCH 3RD.
Championship Games on March 6
ACC:
Southern:
A10:
SEC:
Big Ten:
PAC 12:
Big South:
There's LOTSA ways to earn those desperately-needed 'catch-up' points that I ....errr....WE must have to overtake the pureforms 'n Conway Gamecocks of the contest. Good luck!

Well, y'all, we're not very good at this basement thing, being weighted in favor of home teams, I guess. Here are last weekend's results. Nobody, including me, got the "key to the city" game right, and only one person( Conway) even guessed what should have been the "easy" one, Baylor at Iowa State. Two people, Howee and Undersized, got bonus points for guessing closest to the lowest score. I will leave it to Howee to sort out the standings.
Howee 4 + 5 bonus = 9
undersized_post 3 + 5 = 8
summertime blues 5
Conway Gamecock 4
Pureform 4
