That viewership for SC and UConn is very impressive for noon EST on a Monday.

Saw a tweet that Iowa/OSU was the most watched regular season women's game in Big Ten Network history.

This thread has mostly ESPN and Fox ratings but BTN is mixed in. I haven't seen any ratings for any conference networks, do they just not share that data? ACC, SEC, and Pac-12 all have league networks too. I wonder how Iowa's rating would compare to games on other league networks.

TV ratings are really kind of meaningless when a lot of us can't get, for instance, PAC-12 or ACC networks, at least without paying through the nose. We already pay out a ridiculous amount for our cable, which, TBH, does include BTN and SEC networks, and we have Apple TV, where we get ESPN+, but a lot of people don't.

TV ratings are mystifying to me and I do not know the answers to your questions. Here's the tweet I saw and the article it links to.

I should have mentioned that while I quoted your tweet, I was really meaning to ask awhom111 who started this thread, because they seem to know a lot about the ratings.

Well, strictly speaking, the only conference with its own network is the Pac-12, although that has proven to be not as helpful since they do not have leverage to get carried. The B1G conference and FOX share ownership of the Big Ten Network and FOX pays to have the channel rated nationally, which affects what kind of commercials that they can attract. ESPN does not pay for the SEC, ACC, or Longhorn Networks, which they own in their entirety, to be rated nationally so we are unlikely to ever see any kind of numbers that they do pay for.

The source that I use for these does not post ratings for everything so games that are below that day's top 150 in cable originals in terms of average percentage of the sample aged 18 to 49 watching or games that draw an estimated average viewership below 200,000 are generally included.

Some of the non-P5/6 conferences use a ghastly thing called FLOSports. The CAA is one of them, though hopefully with JMU's move to the Sun Belt next year we have seen the last of that miserable network, which spends half its time buffering and the rest going in and out. And you have to PAY for this travesty!
