So, uhh, since at this moment there appear to be exactly four 2021 Finals game threads (not three, not five), you're predicting that one of the Finals teams will win in four? Razz

The only other time the WNBA finals didn't feature either of the teams with the two best regular season records was 2006. Under the current format, Detroit would have been the #3 seed and Sacramento would have been the #5.

This is a bad matchup for Chicago. The size of Chicago’s guards means that Peddy will be effective defensively against whomever Phoenix puts her on (I would guess Peddy gets Sloot, Diana gets Quiggley, Skylar gets Copper), we have Turner to defend Parker, and I’m not sure Chicago is capable of throwing an effective double team on Brit.

That being said..we have 5 and a half players right now, given Bria’s minutes cap..and Vaughn who doesn’t bring much. We need Sophie back to win this series, or I suspect Chicago will just tire the Merc out.

Candace Parker did not make a basket against Phoenix this season

I didn't like how that Finals turned out, either. Mad

I hope Skylar just goes off in this series.

It’s been her season and she’s due for this.

I'm going to be torn. I want to see CP win it in The Chi.
But, I like for SDS to get her first ring too.

I guess, I'm hoping for a close series either way. Laughing

South Bend will be the seats to represent in Wintrust Arena, she just might snap off for at least one of those games.

I am absolutely rooting for Chicago. Why? Because Phoenix has Diana Taurasi and they don't.

I can report that Olaf will not be staying at the house. He’ll be with the Sky at the team hotel.

Can we play all our home games somewhere else? ASU? GCU? A high school gym? Someone’s driveway?

Looks like there is no conflict for Sunday's game and appears we are in for another double header with the Suns on Wednesday. There is nothing scheduled for the 19th.

Another important aspect of this series..is Brit gonna remember who the best player in the world is?

Diana started the run for the Aces, and Phoenix initially took the lead off of guard play, but it wasn’t until Brit re-established herself that Phoenix looked like they were gonna win. They are at their best when Brit is dominant.

Brit is the foundation but they were not winning until DT took over that game and hit two 3s and fired up the team.

It's frustrating because there's lots to like about the Merc. They've got the best player in the world in Griner. They've got Skylar Diggins, who has somehow become an underrated, unsung hero. Peddy has a great story. I like Hartley and Turner and Cunningham. I usually favor a team with a female coach over a male one. But, Taurasi has 1 1/2 good games out of five and all that goes out the window because the talking heads won't talk about or to anyone else. Taurasi sucks all the air out of the room in a way no other player does.
