Except they're still slow on their rotations and none of them can guard Copper.

I view the Mercury defense more as a whole rather than one part. 42 points isn’t terrible with how much the Mercury should be able to score.

It’s really been the offense tonight hands down that’s been the problem.

Considering the slow pace of this game, giving up 46 points on 55% shooting at the half is pretty bad

You mean to tell me that no one told Vaughn to stop shooting after the last game?

Well if I know anything about the Mercury, Taurasi will come out Sunday shooting 8-8 from three in the first half.

The whole team looks distracted today. It’s disappointing because a lot of this is just missed layups, lack of focus, lack of urgency. It’s really a shame about Nurse because she really helped in the effort and energy category. Not to mention averaging 18 a game against Chicago in the regular season.

This is just RICH! A Phoenix fan complaining about Chicago fan bitching?????
Seriously???????

Just look at all the whining and bitching by Phoenix fans on this thread. Well, their team IS pathetic tonight...

I think Sandy is telling her team to get the ball inside to BG come hell or high water. If she can't score, perhaps get to the line. But, PHx has NO answer for Copper...none...She too quick.

Taurasi didn't show up for the game anyway, so the whole suspension thing is moot

I am straight up not having a good time right now.

Not really, the arena is rocking. Our seats are close. God, I love how nasty the board is getting. Let’s keep this energy!

BG typically is what works and she's not working tonight. They set the tone early with their physicality and BG is not there. No one else is doing anything so it's death right now.

She's the key to the team being in games and having a chance to win and them dying embarrassingly.

I was really frustrated with her laziness with the ball. She was taking a TON of contact but wasn’t doing anything with it. She kind of bailed out Chicago early. She could have drawn quite a few fouls with a different mindset.

In Griner’s defense, she has absolutely nobody to give her a little leeway off the bench. I mean Vaughn is…oooof.

At this point though, save it for the elimination game.

Did Bird just conplain about where are the guards when we literally have 4 guards out of a possible 4 guards for the All-WNBA. Lord.

I think she’s talking about A’ja Wilson essentially being listed as a 3.

LMAO. She was saying, "yeah but would you put those 5 players on the floor together at the same time?" To which I'd say, do you remember some of the lineups you played with for Team USA in Tokyo? Confused

A 22 point halftime lead ties the finals record held by Phoenix in Game 1 of the 2014 finals against Chicago

It's just not Merc's night.

Just get out of the game with no injuries and try again Sunday.

Good night.

Towel has put on weight since her Stanford days, and I'm not sure it's muscle.
