If Chicago can hit shots they win again. I was one of the few who voted for them in game one I’m doing it again for game 2 but I’m weary they may relax being up 1-0.

The Sky needs to win again, whatever it takes, and bring the momentum home on Sunday. It's crazy that our away record is better than our home stands! They are saying the plan is to stay focused on what is to come and not dwell on the past. I pray they are successful with that!

Chicago shot 49.4% but had to go into double overtime to win. I doubt they can shoot that well again.
1) They are playing their 4th game in eight days, and playoff games are especially intense. Sooner or later that’s going to take a toll.
2) The Sky are led by 3 players older players who logged a lot of minutes on Tuesday: Sloot 44:23, Quigley 41:48, and Parker 39:26. I can see them fading in the second half -- especially Parker.
3) Connecticut looked bad in the Commissioner’s Cup after a long layoff, and they had a slow start yesterday after a long layoff. The Sun are a defensive team. Good basketball defense is invariably good team defense. So maybe they were just rusty, and needed a game to get in sync again. I have a feeling their energy will be a lot higher for Game 2.
In order for Chicago to win, they need the younger players like Copper, Stevens, and DeShields to step up. I don’t think the old war horses can carry them for another full game.

Wade used Ndour-Fall (21 min) more than Stevens (19 min) in the last game. Maybe he sees Ndour-Fall as a better defender on Jonquel Jones.

Double overtime might hurt Parker on only one day’s rest, but I’m thinking Connecticut starters in general might be hurting because Miller leans heavily on them.
Bench minutes:
CHI 64:14 or 25.69% of available court time
No LBrown or Hebard for CHI
CON 38:03 or 15.22% of available court time
No Carrington, SJones, or Mompremier for CON
Wade managed to keep Parker below 40 min at 39:26.
But Bonner coming off an injury in previous game played 47:53, JJones played 44:52. BJones only starter below 40 min. I guess it was a good thing AThomas was available for this game.

Im actually surprised that Parker has played this consistent in the playoffs without a let down game. Game 1 Last Thursday then a flight to Minnesota for Sundays Game another Flight to Connecticut for Tuesdays game and shes made an impact unlike years in the past when it was easy to predict a lackluster game from candace.

You're right, Miller relies heavily on his starters and CT has older players too in Bonner, January, and Thomas. No doubt Chicago also possesses better depth. However, the Sun had eight days off between games. They begin the series much fresher. Just as important, the Sun don't normally need to score a lot to win. Where fatigue really shows up is in offensive efficiency. As a defense-oriented team, I would expect being tired to hurt them less than Chicago. The Sun had an 11.6% deficit in FG% but still managed to take Game 1 to double OT. If this game becomes a low-scoring slog through the mud, I think that favors the Sun. But again, if Chicago can get their other players to produce more -- and some have the track record that indicates they can -- then that could offset any drop-off by Parker, Sloot, and Quigley.

That was a nice pass by Princess I gotta admit. Huge for Chicago to start out hot.
