Ouch, Hailey needs about 400,000 cigarettes and 100,000 hours in the sun before that.

She looks just like Kimmy did when she played at LA Tech. Go back and look.

I must confess that I didn't know much about her so I did go back and was surprised to read the following about Mulkey on Wikipedia: "She led her Hammond High School basketball team to four consecutive state championships. As high school valedictorian, she posted a perfect 4.0 GPA. She later achieved high academic honors as an inductee into the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic Hall of Fame for her classroom achievements at Louisiana Tech"
Mulkey is no dummy, that's for sure.

But did you look at her player pictures? The french braids and everything else? Van Lith is Kimmy made over.

Kadidia Touré (6'2 Fr C, Silver Spring, MD) is in the portal from JMU.
https://twitter.com/Raoul_000/status/1652059346338041857?s=20
Also per Raoul, Mya Koné (6'2 Fr W, Pompano Beach, FL) has transferred from JMU to FIU.
In the flurry of transfers out of Iowa State, we may or may not have missed:
Denae Fritz (5'11 combo G, Maryville, TN) to Baylor
Maggie Espenmiller-McGraw, (5'10 Sr G, Indianola, IA) to Montana
Morgan Kane (6'3 RS Sr F, West Jordan UT) to Nova Southeastern (D-II)
The only one of the group remaining uncommitted is Maggie Vick (6'2 So F, Morristown, TN), who I kind of expect to sign with somewhere nearer home. Just a hunch, though. She is my former doctor's daughter and an only child and may have had enough of being away.

Kennedy Flauntleroy is allegedly in Stillwater today for a visit with OK State. Not sure who all is pursuing her, but I'd definitely be excited if we could land her!

I think Duke got a good one. She is definitely an upgrade over Day-Wilson in my book. But I feel bad for BC losing both her and Gakdeng to other ACC teams.

I've rarely witnessed such steep regression from year 1 to year 2 as we saw in Shy Day-Wilson. She just seemed so at odds with the coaching staff and was uncomfortable the entire season after winning ACC FOY. Meanwhile, her back up, Vanessa deJesus has shown incredible improvement from frosh to junior year, despite clear limitations in athleticism. She will be a great mentor for Taina at Duke. Assuming Kara can pull in another bulky post who is ready to play, this team could be better than this year's edition.

Great get for Duke.
Do you know Lawson and staff are targeting Jewell Spear down 1-40 or is she going home to Texas?

We get zero information from Coach Kara. We find out from press release, like everyone else. Spear would be the obvious top target at this point.
By the way, Taina Mair was MY top target for Duke after the initial wave of portal entries was made. I felt she was the right fit and less susceptible to NIL frenzy. Looks like I was right about that assessment.

Just curious - do your coaches has some type of "tweet" that will alert the fans that something is coming?
Many UVA fans already caught up with Coach Mox's tweet - whenever she said "WAHOOWA!" - it means she picked up a recruit or a transfer. Needless to say, UVA fans are loving it so much. Yesterday, Coach Mox just did do that and it energized the fan base.
So fun and refreshing thing to see.

If you’re a high-profile transfer or recruit, schools will go to the extreme to impress you on an official visit. This was certainly the case for DePaul transfer Aneesah Morrow, who recently took a visit to LSU. |

But LSU and Kim Mulkey took hotel designing to a new level for Aneesah. It looked like something out of a New Year’s Eve party. |

Kim Mulkey even got in on the action, showing off her dance skills with Aneesah during the visit. |

Joni Taylor did that at UGA. Coach Abe does not.

For those not inclined to actually look at the article, there's a video of the hotel room taken by Morrow. It was quite interesting to me to see the scads of fake dollar bills placed all over just about every surface. Surely this kind of recruiting is new. NIL has changed so much, and I suspect LSU heavily promotes its aggressive NIL programs. |
