Wings shooting awesome % to make up for their bazillion turnovers. Quite interesting.

The record for turnovers in a game is only 33, which was set in 1997

Ogunbowale 3 pts, 5 TO at the half.
Wings definitely not winning because of her.

Ogunbowale heats up and the Wings open up a double digit lead

Foul #4 cooled her off for a while, but she's back getting buckets now
17 points @ 6/9
Seems they decided to stop turning that thing over once per minutes as well, so this lead is looking good now

this looks like it may be a loooonng season for the Sparks. It will help to get Zahui, but it seems they have nobody who can guard on the perimeter.

Pll look us the refs tried to cook this ish in the first half for the Sparks. Then must’ve realized this ish wax wrong cuz they’re totally undeserving. The offensive fouls on Arike, except the one, were ridiculous. As a long time fan, I recall seeing taurasi in a playoff game punch an LA Tina Thompson in the chest fa few feet away from a ref and get nothing. At year 3 and the league scoring champ Arike deserves some calls. God knows the ogwumikes, whom I love, get away with plenty of ish.

I got home very late last night and only caught the last quarter of the game. I will have to review the whole game later on. I suspect the usual chemistry and establishment of identity problems that usually occur whenever there is a seismic shift the starting lineup. Nevertheless, there is a lot of potential for this team to come together in a very big way.

All around good game for Dallas. and congrats to Collier. She had a much better opening day than I would have anticipated. Nothing spectacular but solid enough and that's all those pesky guards needed. Thornton and A.Gray continue to be two of my most favorite players. Gray kept them in it in the first half and Arike brought out her dagger in the second half. Mabrey and Harrison also both gave some nice minutes. It will be fun to see how Awak integrates with this team.
congrats to Dallas on a big road win.

LA's biggest problem is that they're too small. Their starters at SG and SF are the shortest in the league at their position (even taking into account Atlanta), the starting PG is also small at 5-7, and the first guard off the bench is 5-8. The Ogwumikes are both insane athletes but neither of them is huge for their position. However, looking at the minutes, Coffey and Holmes collectively played 23 minutes at the 3, with Coffey getting more minutes than Wheeler overall. IMO, they should try moving Wheeler to the bench and start Coffey, if for nothing else but added size and defensive balance. There's just no way 5-9 Brittney Sykes is gonna defend the Bonners, DeShields', and Colliers of the league.
