| Aijha Blackwell went out with a knee injury tonight in the first quarter and didn't return. She appeared to hurt it on a play inside on offense but she stayed in to shoot free throws but a few seconds later she grimaced in pain and had to be helped off the court. Hope it isn't too serious.

ok. I will do that for the heck of it. In my mind, they're pretty comparable. I loved having Mikesell last year. She was a stalwart for me.
I think since we both have them playing Sunday, the transaction has to go thru after their games then.
Cool I don't remember ever having a fantasy trade before!

Agreed.
I like both players. If they have a good shooting day they can win two categories by themselves. I just hope Robertson doesn't have too many more like today (Maybe it was the altitude in Provo.)

Since Coyotes is likely sipping negronis on a beach somewhere ( ), I thought I'd give a brief recap with Week 1 officially in the books.
Week 1 amazingly had no ties -- very different from last year! So we have 5 teams sitting undefeated at 1-0 and 5 teams at 0-1. By virtue of the +/- tiebreak, tbinta currently leads the league since she crushed me by a score of 7-3 last week ( ), while all other matchups were won by a narrow 6-4 margin. At least y'all can trust I'm not rigging the spreadsheet in my favor! 
Housekeeping note: Luckily we had no game cancellations get in the way of our rosters! Again, a nice change from last season. Hope it stays that way! (vigorously knocks on wood) However, we did have two alternates sub due to injuries/DNPs of our starters. Lariah Washington subbed in for Carmen Gfeller of Coyotes, and Jewel Spear subbed in for Peyton Scott of Tbinta.
From this point forward, our "weeks" will run Tuesday-Monday, with lineups being due Tuesday morning before the start of gameplay. The exceptions remain the week leading up to Christmas and the last week of the season, which are both extra long to accommodate sparser game schedules around those time. Good luck to everyone as Week 2 is already underway!

yep. shooters will shoot so sometimes they have days like that. Mikesell had at least one for me last year, but she also had quite a few nice ones. I really went back and forth about which one to take in the draft and basically decided on Robertson because I rarely end up with a B12 player and I get frustrated with the B10 games often being unavailable to watch because of the B10+ firewall. And I was hopeful that my #2 pick would be a B10 player. Yeah, pretty weak reasons. Anyway, hopefully they will both end up having similar stats to last year and we'll both be happy.

| Blackwell's game for Hoopsmom was brutal. We have a policy still in place (I assume) that if a player plays less than 4 minutes her game doesn't count but in this case she played 8 minutes. Just wondering if we shouldn't consider expanding that rule for the future? Not sure what is fair, but 4 minutes seems too little.

I would say 10 minutes or less specifically because of injury would seem fair.
