Bill Simmons, ESPN Page 2, in his article "Things To Do In Denver"
The Lacey Chabert In "Mean Girls" Award for "Biggest and most unexpected surprise"
This goes to somebody named Swin Cash, a WNBA star who makes Sue Bird look like Larry Bird. Who knew? She's a knockout. If we can find between 140 and 150 players who look like her, the WNBA will finally be ready to go mainstream.

I guess in the meantime he finds the NBA players attractive enough to watch.

Lawd, don't give the league any ideals. They will have more pretty scrubs in the league, if looks is the only thing they're looking for. Someone needs to tell him, there are a lot of "knockouts" in the league, but you gotta watch the game, before you assume._________________ (¯`v´¯

The real slack-jaw about this guy's statement is that he obviously doesn't know anything about Sue Bird as a basketball player. If he even knew the most basic facts about her career he would know that Sue and Swin played at UConn on the infamouse 39-0 team.
There are actually a couple of ways to look at his final remark...about there being 140+ Swin's in the world of women's basketball: if there were that many women playing basketball at the same level that Swin Cash plays, then, yes, the league would have an incredibly marketable program...and it wouldn't matter if they were pigeon-toed or buck-toothed, either...it would be about the quality of basketball being played.

I don't know what pissed me off more, the obvious sexist statement about looks being a requirement or the "somebody" in the "somebody named Swin Cash" statement. She was only a national champion in college, WNBA champion, all star, and Olympic gold medalist, and he obviously doesn't know shit about her.

Yeah, for a guy from Boston, he sure doesn't know much about New England's premier hoops team of the last ten years.
But then, he IS BS. Sometimes a name does say a lot...

The local news here in Phoenix had a bit the other night about how research has shown that viagra not only helps erectile malfunctions but has improved brain functions as well. If I had not heard it on the news I would have thought it was a joke. My thought at the time was that this finally adds credence to the long time saying that men's brains are in their pants. This guy supports the concept as well.
