Costas is hilarious. He's the second best Olympic anchor ever (giving a nod to Jim McKay for the best), but Bob is very witty and is one of the best sports people in this country's history.

I was watching Costas Now a couple weeks back, and he was about to talk to Pete Rose. He was introducing him, and telling the story about how Pete got food poisoning and had to stay in Las Vegas but was on the show via satellite. Then he said:

"What are the odds...a big show like this, and getting food poisoning." (turns to monitor) "Actually, Pete, you probably know the answer to that question."

(laughter)

Bob: "Are ya feelin' better, Pete?"

Pete: "Yeah, smartass!"

Do we really have to see so much of Bob? Nothing he can say is as interesting or captivating as the events. I wish I could see less of him.

Nah, he's fine!! I don't mind him. My fave is Mary Carrillo though...but Bob is WAY better than Jim Lamprey during the day!! Ugh!

Mary Carillo is gaining lots of points with her coverage of various parts of Chinese culture during the Games. I like what she's been doing.

The only thing better than Bob Costas at the Olympic host desk is Jim McKay. And he ain't coming back, sadly. Jim Nantz would be a good host, but since he belongs to CBS, there's no way in heck he'll ever get to do it. That's at least until 2020 since NBC has the Games through 2016.

-Very smart
-Very witty
-Holds her own with Jmac(not easy to do)

Carillo negatives:
-She doesnt shutup for a second with her quippy jokes, she makes light of everything
-Has called out a few players unfairly(imho)
-She looks like shes in pain when she speaks on camera
