Rising junior post player Ruby Vaden will not play basketball for the Lady Razorbacks next season and will seek a medical hardship for her scholarship to complete her degree at the University of Arkansas.
This is extremely disappointing news. I don't think Ruby and Gardner ever saw eye to eye and this is a sad way for this to end. She was one of the top recruits to ever come out of the state, and while I'll miss her on the basketball court, I'm very pleased she is finishing her degree. Good luck to her.
