But does Loyd want to play with Skylar who is ball-dominant?...and does Seattle have the cap space to sign both players? |
They’ve played together before, but maybe she didn’t appreciate Diggins publicly telling her to stay in school (which she didn’t). |
I would only sign Skylar if she was coming with another big FA
SDS & Nneka?....Yes
SDS & Parker (AtL)?....Yes
SDS & Sabally?....Yes
SDS & EDD?....Yes
SDS alone?...No
If Skylar can't get another FA to sign with Seattle....I think a better option for her would be Minny, ATL, or Chi

I thought PHX was a good fit for her but apparently, I was wrong. She's been bouncing around for awhile now. While Seattle be where she sticks and stays? Is there diva issues? I've been a fan since her Tulsa Shock days. I just thought she was a dedicated baller that knew her worth. |

I do think PHX was a good fit for her and it’s a shame it didn’t go better.

In four seasons she only got to play 42 games with Griner. The Merc needed to have their two best players together more than that to be successful. The one time both were there at the end they were in the finals.

She had a heated argument with Taurasi on the Phoenix bench. But it isn't hard to conflict with Taurasi. She did a Twitter "clown emoji" as a (public) response to the rookie Phoenix coach saying Taurasi should have been an all-star. I think that was because she didn’t congratulate Diggins-Smith, but instead complained that Taurasi hadn't made it. SD-S also later argued with the coach coming off the floor. Two of the three would be easily overlooked if done by an all-star in the NBA. But publicly dissing your coach would be an NBA no no.
She asked to be traded from Dallas, but trade requests have become fairly common.

Didn't Nygaard also say something about it not being a real AST without DT?

What everyone is saying about Phoenix and Dallas are true, which is why I'm willing to give SDS the benefit of the doubt. Also, Quinn seems like a really nice person to work with. I don't think there will be any issues there.

Or did she create the hot mess and run off once exposed? 8) 8) |
They had the worst combined record in the league over the three seasons before they drafted Diggins-Smith, so the facts suggest that she did not, in fact, create the hot mess. That franchise was a hot mess from the moment Bill Davidson died until after they hired Greg Bibb, and it still took him five years to get it right.

I like to only look at the years they came to the metroplex , not the dark tulsa days. |
That kind of sounds like you're cool being ahistorical as long as it helps you shade the players you don't like; pretending that the mess started in Dallas so you can be like, "Yup, it's her fault!"
