More about her music than basketball. Still an interesting read.

Thanks for that link, Ex-Ref.

Johnson is so multi-talented. I don't watch TV and rap music isn't my thing, but Johnson absolutely killed it in her two appearances on America's Got Talent, for which there's a video in linked article.

In addition, she's killing it with NIL:

Quote:
"Flau’jae Johnson is our Innovator of the Year! The award recognizes the student-athlete that has best exemplified innovation & creativity through novel usage of their NIL to generate tremendous value for their partners."

Loved this - all of it. I was prepared to be skeptical, but I was moved by her work. It takes a lot of determination and discipline to develop both her music and basketball talents. "Put the guns down." Indeed. The rap world needs her voice. - anti gangsta rap, female positive rap. I think the gun control world should be promoting her. Powerful work. And she can really ball.

It will be interesting to see how Kimmy manages all the big personalities on and off the floor. Some are flashing cars and rings while others are seriously developing their talent and addressing real issues. I have no idea at this point if Flau'jae's bball talent is WNBA level and it might depend on how she manages her time and depends on how much she wants to develop on the basketball floor. But, I can say that she is earning her NIL $$ with real off court talent and not just banking on being a so-called "influencer" with empty self-promoting fluff.
