Yep. From season's beginning to the current Final Four, Kim has done it with far less talent than Staley has at her disposal. In other words, Kim has far exceeded what was EXPECTED of her team than what Dawn has.

Has she? Which game(s) did you expect LSU to lose that they ultimately won?

South Carolina lost two games last year. This year they will likely go undefeated (or, in the case of a shocking upset, lose one game at most). So if equaling last year was the "expectation," South Carolina has exceeded that. Dawn deserves the award.

Moren's victory, despite Indiana being upset in both postseason tournaments, is deserved given that the AP votes were cast back in very early March before the postseason began.

It's not as much about what *I* expected them to lose-but-they-won, as what a lotta fans thought: "Oh, look at their cupcakes, they'll lose when they get to tough competition". And I DID have some doubts, expecting them to end up a few notches lower in the SEC than they did.

I really thought they were overhyped at the season's beginning. Until I saw them play for the first time. For my bracket, I picked them up to where they now are, but I could have seen them losing to any of the last 3 teams they played: Michigan, Utah, and Miami.

Ahhh....but there are degrees of "expectation", no? Some are "Great Expectations" because of historical performance. To me, taking a team to its highest level ever is EXCEEDING expectation, as Moren did. IMO, that's bigger than losing 2 less games than you did the past season.
