Per the Tallahassee Democrat

"Freshman sensation guard Ta'Niya Latson has been ruled out for the remainder of the season for the Florida State women's basketball team.

FSU announced in a release that the ACC Freshman of the Year is out due to an undisclosed injury and will miss the entirety of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.

The Seminoles will take on No. 10 Georgia (21-11) at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the first round at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa.

Sophomore guard O’Mariah Gordon will also be out for the remainder of the NCAA postseason due to injury, leaving FSU with eight healthy players against the Bulldogs."

Wow. That was probably the biggest hurdle standing between Iowa and the Elite 8.

What a shame for Latson to miss the finish of her special frosh year. I already had Georgia in that game after watching Fl State in the ACC.

Best wishes to Ta’Niya and O’Mariah on a full and quick recovery.
