UConn is 39-13 all-time vs. Notre Dame. UConn won last year's matchup with Notre Dame, a 73-54 victory in Storrs, Conn. This is UConn's first trip to South Bend, Ind., since Dec. 2, 2018. No Husky on the current roster has played at Notre Dame. UConn freshman Ayanna Patterson is from Fort Wayne, Ind., which is 70 miles away from South Bend. |

From Twitter: "Doesn’t look like Dorka Juhasz will be playing today. She’s on the court but not dressed down in warm ups."
We'll need Edwards to stay out of foul trouble.

Knowing how far it is for me to get to ND and to FW from my place, I'd guess it's further than that. Not much, 15-20 miles maybe. Her HS is on the SW side of FW. Not really a direct way to get to ND from Homestead. I'd guess County Line Rd. to 30 to 331 or 31, but I've not really looked at it.

Nothing classic about the level of play so far, but the intensity and competitiveness are there. Hopefully both teams settle in.
As mentioned in a recent Notre Dame thread, Ebo is pretty poor; she's already blown a couple pretty easy plays.

Miles running the whole game. Fudd out with a potential knee issue. Geno wastes a timeout with 21 seconds left in the quarter.

1Q: Miles far and away the best player on the court. Scores at will. UConn perimeter defense non-existent. Fudd injured her knee. |

Ducharme is going to need to play a lot better. Fudd back in.

What always amazes me is how on a fast break Miles can run faster down the court while dribbling the ball than defenders can without the ball. That is really not easy to do.

Griffin has regressed to two years ago. Geno ENTIRELY MIA, as usual, in a big game. Pathetic. I'm done watching.

1H: A massacre. Irish dominant in every aspect of the game: offense, defense, rebounding, passing, coaching, game planning, luck, energy, etc.
No one on UConn can self-create a shot, like Miles or Citron, nor can the team free up space with screens or cuts, all of which are anticipated by ND.
UConn can't penetrate Irish defense and trying to win with brickish jump shots by Griffin, Muhl, Edwards = desperation. |

Even in my most optimistic mode, I did not foresee a 17 point ND lead at the half.

Start 3Q, UConn has no one on the floor with shooting touch other than slowish LLS. Nonetheless, they close the gap a bit. |

who is worse, Ebo or Griffin? I vote for Ebo. Griffin is at least useful in ways other than scoring but she's a real detriment on offense when the other team can leave her wide open. OTOH Ebo can't even make layups.

Put in DeBerry, Geno. She can't do any worse shooting and rebounding than other players, plus maybe she can improve interior defense. |

I guess the officials decided TV might overlook them if they didn't start blowing their whistles.

Two games in a row that the offense has ground to a halt when ND starts forcing it inside to Ebo.
Just let Miles and Citron and Bransford and Westbeld keep running!

This is absurd.
Lobo is right. There are suddenly a ton of whistles. But coincidentally they are all going one direction.
How many times have we seen this act?

Perfect example of why we need a flop technical in WCBB.
Geno will never let it happen. Too big a part of his coaching for decades.

Wow, ND got a call from the officials and Ebo made a layup. Will wonders never cease!

ND's offense so much more coordinated and sophisticated than UConn's. Surgery vs. brick chucking. |

Notre Dame just has a lot more and more varied offensive weapons. And UConn is lost offensively without Fudd.
I can't recall a UConn team with so few offensive weapons. They ALWAYS have a bunch of big time scorers.
