Irvin blocked 150 shots in 33 games, an average of 4.5 per game. That was good for third in the nation behind Marita Payne's 5.0 and Ashley Sparkman's 4.9. 1.36 BPG would barely crack the top 100 in the nation.

Hmmm yes, the article seems to be a pretty poor effort overall. Come on Mercury website, set your standards higher.
