Easiest post-season award. Best player of the bunch, great scorer, she rebounds & assists, had steals, plus Atlanta was THISCLOSE to making the playoffs. She was the #1 offensive option for the Dream this year which is something the other players weren't asked to do. Glad she was able to be as good as advertised this season.

Howard looked like an All-Star from the very first game, pretty incredible.

If you're a believer in net +/- then Queen Egbo is the ROY and Rhyne Howard is one of the worst players in the league

I hate to do this, but... cite? It seems mathematically impossible that a player on a five-win team can have the best net plus-minus among rookies.

Keep in mind that this doesn't mean they were "+" with her on the floor, it just means that they were less "-" with her on the floor than when she sat. So being on a terrible team doesn't matter.

Hmm I'm also curious how pilight came to this conclusion. I tried to look at all the rookies' +/- at this link, and it seems to me that Austin led all rookies in this category, followed by Burton. Nalyssa Smith was last, which would make sense for the rookie who played the most minutes on the worst team.

According to that report, the Fever had four players with a net plus-minus of four or better, and only two players with a net plus-minus of -4 or worse... So how the hell did they only win five games? Who was giving all the points away?

They all were giving the points away. (apart from Crystal "Small Sample Size" Dangerfield)

It's Net +/- not Raw +/- so it is a relative measure not an absolute one.

TBH I still don't understand this statistic. Laughing
