ONWARD SETONIA
forgot to charge my phone so I can make no promises about in-game updates; I'm currently on my laptop and cannibalizing its battery to charge my phone

That was *intense*. All those threes Columbia couldn't hit against BC fell against Seton Hall. We've got to trust our bench in the first half if we want to have the horses to run in the second half. You could see shots falling short and footwork slowing down defensively as the game wore on.
The place was packed. We brought an entire section, and I think there was overlap to the next section over. I do wish Columbia had brought their band, though. It's no fun when there's only one band.
I don't know if they'll still have this in place next year, but Columbia has an extremely liberal outside food policy. As in, a woman in the next section walked in carrying an entire pizza box. If I'd realized that I would have brought dinner instead of trying to find something at 10-11 on a Monday night.
The Columbia-Princeton games next year are going to be spectacular. For that, if the schedule allows, I'd haul out to Princeton.

And it's gonna be in Brookings. Whew... challenge accepted.
One of your Golden Eagle brethren brought up a great point: UConn is in the women's Final Four, Villanova is in the men's Final Four, Seton Hall is in the WNIT title game, and Xavier just won the men's NIT. There's a possibility the conference could win 'em all.
(I'm not interested in UConn winning another title, but if it means a Big East superfecta I would accept it begrudgingly for the sake of the conference.)

UCLA had lots of opportunities, including in the last minute, but blew them all.

I figure home court is generally worth 6-10 points, but no excuse for a 30 point blowout. Grats to SDSU for proving you belonged in the NCAA...but winning is even more fun IMO.

well, that viewing party at Seton Hall turned into a viewing in a hurry, yeesh
My frothing fury at the refs has settled into a general background annoyance at humanity at general and also at buses. I am fully cognizant of the fact that they were not the deciding factor, but those techs were horseshit.
Let's try this again some other time, and maybe this time SDSU can take a prop plane on short notice and see how they like it.
