17-13 NCSU end of first
Both Lee and Cunane with two personal fouls.

so...finally Wes realizes that he has a Diamond that can contribute, after basically hiding her on the bench all season.

Nothing going in for for K-State and just about everything for NC State! 43-27 Pack at the half and they played without Cunane for a lot of it.

They decided to leave Cunane on the bench for the second quarter and they didn’t even need her.

Interesting that at the half, Cunane's stat line has exactly 1 reb and 2 PFs. Zero points. And they're still ahead by 16.

Now Lee is on the bench with 3 fouls. That’s not going to be good for KSU.

A beat down even without much contribution from Cunane. To my eyes, NC State is the second best #1 behind Stanford. I really don't know how to peg endlessly hyped South Carolina, which undeniably has superman defense and rebounding but so often shoots a poor FG% even against mediocre teams. |

I tend to think NC State is probably the best team in the country, but it's hard to think of them and Stanford as better than SC since SC beat both of them during the season.

They may have, but earlier in the season. I think tables have turned a little now and both NC State and Stanford have improved a lot, while SC may be a little static.

It can be brutal for the 8/9 seed. How many are going to survive to advance to the Sweet 16?
89-57 NCSU final
