I'll activate Big Mac and put Faith Price on the IR. She hasn't played for several weeks and I have no idea if she ever will again.

How does the tiebreaker work exactly?

I'm going to do a large post explaining it once I have the final results. Essentially, the tiebreaker pays homage to how we used to do our standings, providing points based on what place you got in the league. So, for example, If Myrtle had the most three pointers made this week, they would get ten points; however, if Myrtle had the fewest points, they would only get one point for that category. Then if Myrtle finished 5th out of 10 players in Rebounds, they would get six points and so on for all the categories. The tiebreaker is all of the categories added up into a point total for the week with the winner moving on.
This was the most fair way that Undersized and I could come up with for advancing players in the playoff system as ultimately a winner needs to be declared to move on in the tournament. If someone has a better solution, I'm all ears.

I'm fine to concede and have Adam play for the championship. He had a better record thru the regular season anyway so deserves it. My players playing like they were still in HS is too bad, but such is life. That saves you a bunch of trouble trying to figure it out.

As we hurtle towards the final week of the Fantasy League season, there was plenty of exciting action as chalk was completely upended this week after a relatively quiet week without any cinderellas emerging last week. In fact, of the "favoured" players to take the court this week, only Hoopmom and HoopSmom managed to avoid getting upset. Without further ado, here are the results from this week.
As you'll all notice, in the first semifinal of the week, Adam and Myrtle were tied after extra time was played. With that being said, their matchup went to overtime. With that being said, I have compiled the tiebreaking stats, and as previously mentioned, this is based on the results of each team earning points based on where they are in the overall league standings. For example, if Adam finished second in a category, they received nine points, and if Adam finished last in a different category, they received one point. Without further ado, her are the tiebreaker results.
With that being said, condragulations to Myrtle for being the winner of this week's challenge and escaping with a win over Adam despite a....less than stellar performance from both their players. For reference, this week HoopSmom would've beaten Myrtle; however, unluckily for HoopSmom that was not the matchup this week. It just goes to show how important matchups are sometimes. HoopSmom did manage to take command of their three game series with OK State and cement their place in the standings with a dominant 8-2 win over OK State this week. In matchups elsewhere, it was Hoopmom staving up the upset attempt from Pureform by a paltry 2 steals and 4 rebounds. Tbinta absolutely trounced UCBart, using a performance from Caitlin Clark on the last night to cement the victory. In the biggest upset of the week, it was Coyote snatching victory from the regular season champions in Undersized Post. Undersized Post had already raised their banner declaring them the victor for this season. Alas, their season is now in ruins as they have been knocked out by a plucky squad that has been well constructed by a fabulous coach. With that all being said, the brackets are as follows for the final week:

Akila has been the rock for my team. really amazingly consistent. But it still is going to come down to our last two players. Lots of stuff nip and tuck. If only, if only, if only I hadn't had the bright idea to play Sam Thomas. It's always a risk with her...and this time she was simply terrible.

and it looks like Utti, who has been pretty solid, is having a senior moment...and that's not good for the home team.

It'll be okay, Utti came up with the two steals and single block that you needed to eke out the win. How very rude of them.

Thanks again to Coyote and Oversized for all their work making it happen.
I didn't really deserve to win. It really does seem to involve a lot of luck. My team didn't perform well. Akila Smith and Taylor Mikesell in general kind of held it together most weeks but everyone was up and down. Just looking at the last week's numbers, had I been heads up against Adam, he would have crushed me. [shrug] But so it goes.
Thanks everyone and Good luck to y'all for your teams to do well in the NCAAs.
