Midway through 3Q Naz breaks the Wolverine rebounding record, and Michigan leads 51-27.

Complete blowout, 5 minutes to go, starters still in. The NCAA should put in a rule forcing these coaches to play their benches at this point.

Actually Brown (7:20), Kiser (6:35) and Rauch (5:30) were out before 5 minutes, but maybe you don’t know Michigan’s starting lineup?

Final 77-58, largest lead was 34 before the bench started coming in.
Naz had 20 pts, 12 rbs, 3 assists and 4 TOs. U-M also had Brown, Nolan and Kiser in double-figures.

That would leave two starters in (including the heralded prospective WNBA lottery pick Hillmon) with a ~ 35 point lead and other normal rotation players. I should have said "normal rotation players" or "some starters" so there wouldn’t have been a chance for a “but they weren’t all starters!” defense of the Michigan coach. The deep bench should be in with that kind of lead. People should be getting to enjoy seeing players that never play and those players should be getting a chance to play instead of being cheerleaders. But it applies to both coaches. I suppose it can be argued that Ohio State has to go to the deep bench first.

FWIW Naz subbed at the media timeout and played just 26 minutes, which is her second lowest in conference this season. I understand wanting to see others play. I also like the idea of letting the in-state kid seal her first win on the rivals floor. (None of the current team had won at OSU - only 5 previous wins there in the history of the program.)
