BYU continues their great start to the season, winning big most of the way and then hanging on at the end to beat Utah, 85-80. Utah couldn’t take advantage of BYU having 4 players (including 1 starter) out due to covid protocols.

BYU senior guard Paisley Harding led the way with a career-high 33 points on a very efficient 14-20 FG (4-7 3PT), albeit against a notoriously mediocre Utes defense. I can see Paisley Harding being a late-round draftee, but that’s about it even with the good showing. Still, she plays with chutzpah, isn’t so undersized at 5-9, and isn’t particularly bad at anything. But as a true SG, she simply needs to be more consistent at – what else – outside shooting (only a career 36% 3PT shooter, which is where she’s at this season).
