Speaking of random mentions, I do the NYT crossword every day, and at least weekly there's a clue involving the WNBA, which is far, far, far more than any other pro sports league.

I've noticed the W a lot in crosswords. Probably because the acronym is 4 letters with no vowels.

What did they say? I was watching that at a bar, which had the sound off |
Ryuocco was also one of the commentators at the W championship series. Jackson complimented him on his work and remarked how exciting this year's finals was. They spoke glowingly of Ace. |

On Around The Horn they mentioned Myisha Hines-Allen briefly when talking about her brother's big game for the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend

From last Sunday (April 3) episode of the game show, The Weakest Link, on NBC.
In the final round...

Female Contestant named Jaya: "Soccer".
Host: "The correct answer is...the WNBA".

Kountry Wayne is a popular comedian with a YouTube channel that is quite the clean content (no cussing) soap opera (a lot of promiscuity, deceit and backbiting). One recent unexpected twist was the storyline of a male character with his female best friend. She always seemed reluctant to have him meet her significant other. Turns out it was Tamera (TY) Young!

The skits use a lot of Atlanta-based talent because that's where it's filmed.
