Would it be a WBHOF graphic release without at least one typo? I'm pretty sure that's not how you spell Hayes' first name.

(also, Lauren! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy So proud of you, now please stop relying on the floater as your first, second, and last option)

Looking at the list, my first impression is that a few of the players, while talented, didn't spend a majority of their minutes running the point last season.
Also, is it unusual to have multiple schools with multiple PG's on the list? Johnson/Perez at NC State and and Taylor/Hayes at Mississippi St. In both cases, one of the players is an incoming transfer which I guess shakes things up a bit. Seems reasonable to expect one player from each pair to either get out-competed by her teammate for the starting PG spot or to get moved to an off-guard position.

Unless something new has developed, my understanding is that Alasia Hayes (transfer from Norte Dame), has an unspecified lower leg injury that isn’t very serious (she’s not in a boot as of last week), and will
miss the start of the season.

I'm a bit shocked by a few of those selections when players like Lotta-Maj Lahtinen, Bianca Jackson, Nia Clouden, Que Morrison and Khayla Pointer were left off. There are at least five players on that list they could replace.

I side-eyed the whole list as soon as I saw that Dru Gylten was on it tbh. Razz

Yeah I haven't trusted this award much either ever since they left Caitlin Clark off their midseason list last year. Like, c'mon. Laughing
