I think it’s about 50/50 the Libs lose by less than 25.

Tonight's game probably won't tell us the answer, but I'm certainly curious how the Liberty players feel about Walt Hopkins beginning his postgame press conference on Wednesday night by saying "We gave up." The way he said it didn't convey (at least to me) "WE gave up." It came across as "THEY (his players) gave up."

If the most optimistic Liberty fan is going negative, then as a cynical Liberty fan, I have to go positive. Otherwise, the world will be lopsided. We're gonna win. Washington or LA can still clinch on Sunday, so we might as well get a final win to go with our ping-pong balls. Go, New York! Wink

Back to your earlier post, the reporters should have asked "Why did you give up Walt?" "Is it because you are getting fired and don't care anymore?"

Has anyone heard any updates on Reshanda? Playing? Not playing? Injured? Personal leave? Offered as a sacrifice? Thanos-snapped? Joined MiB?

Thanks for this, Randy. It's still mind-boggling to me that not one of those reporters seriously questioned Walt Hopkins about his extraordinary statement that "We gave up." I love the two questions YOU might have asked. Smile

I respect and share your concern regarding Reshanda Gray. I hope she's OK. It's really troubling to be a fan of a professional sport where routinely no information or so little is provided about the status of players.

I hope Gray will be on the bench and then on the court tonight. It's so easy to imagine that she won't be there and the Liberty broadcasters will never say her name, leaving us all to just keep wondering. So wrong.

kinda enjoying the HOF interviews during the timeouts. Better than what they usually run.

I'm puzzled as to why Laney throws the ball away so often. Her entry passes basically just suck on a regular basis. It's kind of a 50-50 proposition. Maybe it gets there and maybe it doesn't.

Playoffs and the #5 pick is the best of both worlds.

I don't think so. They definitely need one more big piece to be competitive and they're much more apt to get it at #1 or #2 than at #5. JMO.

I haven’t been able to spot her on the broadcast, but she was in the team photos ‘tunnel’ looks pre game.

Reshanda is on the bench in uniform from what I see?

Don’t see that very often. Technical foul call on SWK at the expiration of the half. Penalty shot to be taken before the start of the third quarter.

46-29 NYL at the half

Howard 14 pts, 5 reb, 2 stl

Both Atkins and Hines-Allen are playing.

I’ve been on the playoffs and # 5 wagon. I’m just not sure how much of a difference anyone but Howard will make next season or even two seasons from now.

I like Shakira Austin but don’t necessarily see her being a big piece right away. I would love to be wrong because she would fit our lineup great, especially with continued expansion of her 3pt range.

I like that the team is going so hard, and hope they keep it up for 4 quarters. This is the culture we want, a team that fights through difficulty and doesn’t give up, and I want that culture from coaching and management too (so playing normal rotations as opposed to trying to lose- not that that’s what you were indicating they should do).

When you consider Catchings, mystery GM for ATL, and maybe Bibb are making the picks ahead of you, might as well consider #5 a lottery pick.

So if the Libs take this W as it seems does Minny play Washington full strength Sunday? Dallas most likely will play LA tough I’d hope knowing a win against the sparks puts US in the lottery for PP’s while still making the playoffs !! We have beaten LA handily early on so NY may still have a chance depending on what coach Reeve does with Minny vs Styx!!

If washington loses, are they still in the race for the playoffs?

The choke may be on. The NYL lead down to 7 to start the 4th.

Howard not being on the court all the time, and Hopkins delaying the timeout with the team struggling seemed somewhat suspicious.
