If the Sparks can't defeat the Storm without Stewart then they are lottery bound. Happy drafting, Dallas!😁

Did Breanna Stewart legally change her name to Stewie or something? I do not understand why commentators, especially non-Seattle local commentators, use that exclusively.
Yes, I get annoyed about small stupid things, get off my lawn.

KLS hasn't worked as a PF in Chicago or Dallas... not sure why Quinn would want to slide her there now. I though Ezi would get the start in place of Stewart tbh.
Awful game all around for Seattle it seems like. Time to erase that from memory. Oof.

Out of necessity that could've been avoided. We only have three real posts since ditching Dupree. Despite those kinds of players being out there, I honestly think we wasted roster spots on players like Cierra Burdick just to be nice/charitable for some reason, perhaps thinking we would never actually need to utilize the 11th or 12th players on the roster. We bet big on having all of our post rotation healthy – when we didn't necessarily even need to? – and once Stewart got injured, we lost big (just like in this game!).
There were certainly more talented and/or useful options out there if we wanted actual bench depth, but we said, "No thanks! Let's instead give out one spot to someone who at this rate could break the record for most teams in a given career – wouldn't that be cool?! – and another spot to the sister of our fifth starter, because we love a good reunion story! Maybe someday all the Samuelsons will become #OurGirls!"
All a learning experience for next year, I hope. 5th seed & an upset loss to a Washington team looking for revenge and will probably have EDD magically available for them, here we come!

We need to re-sign Nia Coffey at all costs! She is such a terrific glue player.

As the preeminent hater of #TheCompiler, even I feel comfortable saying that the only reason it was funny is because Bird wasn't injured. And the fact that she wasn't hurt, makes it hilarious.

AGREE-it's because the media isn't the media anymore, they're friends with the players and kiss their asses. Listen to Monica McNutt-she is the WORST about this. Last year during the UCONN/SC game, she was calling Destani Henderson, "Henni." It was so unprofessional......but she is a whole level of tragedy that I can't even wrap my brain around.

Alysha Clark Part II - and maybe even becoming better because she's more athletic and a bit taller. I love how she has expanded her game.

Of course, I do not know her personally. However, my take from her preseason Sparks players interview was that she possessed a very sweet, laid back personality. I actually had alarm bells going off in my mind that she was too soft! to be truly useful. Then Nia began with the highlight reel monster blocks and knocking down open treys at a highly consistent rate, and I thought, "Holy Toledo, Miss Congeniality is a legitimate Tiger Lady who uses exquisite timing to reject shots with maximum gusto! The only knock I have on her is that her shot release is slower than optimal, allowing nearby opponents time to recover & disrupt her shot. Unfortunately, everyone doesn't launch shots with the electric quickness of primetime Kristi Toliver! Nevertheless, whether starting or in relief duty, she is the type of player who can galvanize an entire team with her energetic play.
