How long can LA go without scoring?

Even if they had their posts, LA would suck. No way Cooper should be a starting guard. Christy and friend kept going on about how good she is, but really she sucked. Even Toliver looked out of sorts in this one. In fact she hasn't been very good all season.

If Te'a Cooper takes 14 shots, you know LA is in big trouble.

Who should be taking that many shots in the current lineup?

I didn't say there were better options. LA's current lineup is the biggest reason they are in big trouble.

Probably Toliver. Even Sykes or Wheeler would be better. Cooper can't even make layups on a regular basis.

Havent seen a lot of sparks games but can anyone tell me why Sykes is not playing more for them?
IMO she has so much upside and could a really good player in this league.

LA went all in on the tinies...and they're not even close to Atlanta's tinies.
Not sure what's going on with Toliver. I suspect she knows how bad the coaching is...as a coach herself. Chelsea Gray looked pretty mundane last year. Players can't be their best when they're not set up to succeed.
I watched this happen at Duke. Chelsea looked great except against teams like UConn, who shut her down. Duke had no answer and got slaughtered, thus ending the Duke/UConn matchup.
LA is following the same trajectory, including with good players leaving the team. Attracting/losing free agents is the recruitment/transfer portal.
And look at the blockbuster transfers IN Duke got with a new coach!!!
Toliver, I suspect, is deeply regretting her decision to go from DC to LA simply to get a longer contract. She's stuck playing for this mess now. Her only hope is a coaching/GM change as soon as possible.

Ironically, this is not all that different from how Toliver's first season with the Mystics started. Rather than Cooper and Wheeler, it was Tayler Hill and Ivory Latta that had much higher usage rates.
I just looked on b-ref, in 39 total games, Toliver averaged about 10 points per game through the first 20 and almost 16 in the last 19.
I am less convinced this will unwind in a similar manner, but at least Toliver may get to 50-40-90 if not. For her career she is a 50% two-point shooter and 39% three-point shooter, but nearly half of her attempts are three-pointers, so difficult to hit 50% overall (although ultimately meaningless in terms of efficiency).
